The P618L is a mid-range model that TCL just released in April. The manufacturer gave him a simple and rude Chinese name“ +”。 The 5-inch 720P AMOLED screen, 2.5D gorilla generation 4 glass, Snapdragon 410+1G memory+8G ROM, rear 13 million/front 5 million pixel camera and other configurations are relatively flat, and the most exciting thing is the 5000mAh battery inside.

Packaging and accessories

White box silver lettered packaging, with simple product characteristics on the back. The most conspicuous one on the package is the 4G logo of Telecom Tianyi flying everywhere.

There are a lot of accessories for the machine. In addition to the instructions and warranty forms that TCL makes like a household appliance warranty sheet, there are 5V/2A chargers, power cords, and wired noodle headphones.

The most distinctive accessory is the OTG line that is used to charge other mobile phones and humiliate the "poor endurance" of friends. This is simply the status symbol of "mobile power".

The P618L is a classic rectangular design with rounded corners. There is no logo or pattern on the front, which is very simple. The round transition of 2.5D glass can be seen on the side. However, the screen proportion is not high due to the long forehead and chin.

The aurora white version we got is a panda machine with black front and white back. There is also a sticker with serial code and network access permission when leaving the factory. The silver edge on the top side of the fuselage is made of different materials, so there is a certain color difference, so people can automatically make up for the rotary camera of OPPO N3.

On the front is the AMOLED screen fitted with oncell, in the middle of the machine's forehead is the earphone grid, on the left is the light and distance sensor (almost invisible), and on the right is a 5 megapixel front camera.

Only the silver round home key (without backlight) can be seen on the chin. The set key and return key are made into LED dots, similar to those of the past 。

There is a strange logic here: the key lights exist to tell the user the position of the key, and they will light up when touching the screen. But the key light of T618L will be on only when the three diamond keys below are hit... You won't be on until I hit you. What's the use of your lights@# ￥…#%#￥…%￥@……

In addition, the system does not have the switch to control the backlight of the key temporarily, nor can it control their lighting duration.

The back of the machine is the logo of TCL, and the top is the camera and flash. The silver circle around the camera is slightly protruding, which will be scratched when placed flat on the desktop.

The silver trim is actually a part of the card slot cover. Dual mirco SIM cards (i.e. medium cards) and memory card slots are under it. This setting is quite rare (they should be squeezed to the top by the large battery). What is worth praising is that the work of this protective cover is very good, and the gap after closing is unusually flat and even.

The bottom is a wide speaker opening, but actually only the right side has speakers. The left side opening should be added for symmetry. There are small projections on both sides of the opening to prevent the speaker from being completely covered.

The layout of the interface and buttons is very conventional. The top is a micro USB interface and noise reducing microphone, and the bottom is a 3.5mm headphone interface and microphone. On the right are the metal volume and power buttons, with white coating on their surface and shiny trimming on the side. As the price of this constraint, you can hear a slight shaking sound of keys when you knock or shake the machine.

The 2.5D front glass is higher than the plastic frame, and it feels good to slide on the side, which also makes it look like an elongated and enlarged apple watch. The machine was pasted with a conscientious film when it left the factory, but unfortunately, even if the original film was extremely sticky, its edges could not fully fit the curved glass.

Under the side light, there is the unique blue reflection of the AMOLED screen, but it also inherits the problem of the A-screen Pentile arrangement. In addition to the 5-inch 720P resolution, the "big fruit" on the screen is relatively obvious (the water ripple is caused by the camera shutter, and cannot be seen by the naked eye).

The thickness of the fuselage is very normal, and the brain can't make up for the 5000mah battery inside it. There are not many highlights in the appearance design of the machine, but it cannot be said that it is ugly. The screen and corners are round and smooth. Although the weight of 162g is heavy, it is acceptable. It is still relatively balanced when held in the hand.

If the author is asked to give a score, the appearance will be about 7 points, while the hand feel can be 7 or 8 points (a few tens of grams lighter may be much better). The most unsatisfying thing for the author is that this gorilla generation 4 glass seems to have no anti oil coating, so it is extremely easy to get fingerprints, and it is difficult to clean it
