Early projector enthusiasts tend to burn high-definition movies: hoist commercial projectors at home, connect special computers or high-definition players to enjoy home cinemas. The DIY of a set of equipment is often more than 10000 yuan, and the pursuit is higher than the enjoyment of television. In contrast, many manufacturers in Shenzhen now make "cheap" products that combine TV boxes and projectors, which are more suitable for ordinary people who are not interested in technology. The minimum cost is only 2000~3000 yuan, which is suitable as a substitute for TV sets.

The main interface of the nut G1 system is standard. It can be seen that it has been specially optimized, but when entering the second or third level page, some places retain the style of the Android native system (Miracast settings), and some places appear low (media center).
In the process of using G1, the "Mango TV" will not respond every few hours. You need to close the application and re-enter. Once, I missed the "Network SAMBA Device" in the "Media Center", and then the system was in an infinite "chrysanthemum" rotating state. It took a few minutes to press the Back button to work. The remote control button also has a slow response. For example, sometimes you press the pause button but wait a few seconds to respond
In short, we still need to continue to work hard to get rid of the "stuck, slow, ugly, rough" feeling brought by the fake Android TV box. At least for the moment, these operating systems, which were hastily modified from Android tablets, are available, but they can't bring me a sense of trust and pleasure.
Content and connection: favorite of mango fans
The mango TV broadcast and control platform built in Nut G1, and Hunan Satellite TV's signature variety shows such as "I'm a singer" and "Day by day Up" are complete, but the speed of new content online is still a little lower than that of mobile phone apps and websites, and the speed is still a big screen. VGA does not support audio, so the sound is from the computer. Another option is to play the movies downloaded from the USB flash drive. Nut G1 supports the mainstream video format and resolution. Except that the player is not very high-end and easy to use, it is OK.
Hardware and performance: beautiful but noisy
Nut G1 adopts the electric focusing scheme, and the remote control can realize remote focusing. Pull up the audio knob of the remote control to switch to the focusing knob, which is very convenient to use. Because there is no knob reserved for focusing the lens on the fuselage, it is very simple and the shape of the disc is also very beautiful. However, after a careful look at the interface workmanship on the back of the body (as shown in the above figure), it is still not very particular, revealing some flavor of counterfeit products.
Compared with the boring four-way key remote control, the nut G1 has a new rocker like design similar to the game handle. Unfortunately, the overall workmanship and touch of the buttons are very ordinary. The knob type volume adjustment is very creative, but it is not convenient for single hand use. At this time, I will miss the simple button remote control like Apple TV or Xiaomi Box. In my opinion, the biggest impact of nut G1 on the viewing experience is noise. As soon as the fan is turned on, it starts to run wildly. The sound is like an electric kettle boiling water. When the system is busy, the sound will increase, but even if nothing is done, the sound will not weaken at all. To make matters worse, even if the machine is "turned off", there will still be some "buzzing" low noise. The reason is that one of its features is that it can be used as a Bluetooth audio after being turned off (the audio effect can be classified as a Bluetooth audio within 500 yuan). Even if we don't want to use it as a audio, it will also have a slight standby sound of the audio "buzzing", unless the power supply is unplugged - so the experience is not good. Just imagine who will have nothing to unplug the power cable of the TV? In fact, I have experienced similar products, and the noise is not small, so this is probably the characteristic or "common problem" of such products.
In addition, the TI technical solution adopted by Nut G1 supports 3D video playback. Since G1 does not provide 3D eyes randomly, users who want to see 3D movies need to purchase additional glasses. The price of 3D glasses on the official website is 129 yuan/pair. The device I received does not include 3D glasses, so there is no actual experience.

Jingdong sells nuts G1 at 2699 yuan. The price of a 50inch 4K TV, such as Xiaomi TV, is only 3400 yuan. Students with stable homes still recommend buying TV. In terms of experience, compared with TV, projector has only one advantage, a larger screen, but I believe that for most people, 50 inches is enough.
