Samsung also released its "brother" model Galaxy Note Edge when it released Galaxy Note 4 on September 3. Its most special feature is that it uses a curved screen on the edge, while other hardware parameters are highly consistent with Galaxy Note 4. Today we introduce the Korean Galaxy Note Edge using Exynos 5433.

Galaxy Note Edge and Galaxy Note 4 have the same packaging style.

There are some parameters of the product on the back. What we got is the Galaxy Note Edge of KT Telecom, commonly known as the "K version". There is the logo of olleh G, and the model is SM-N915K. The Korean Galaxy Note Edge uses an Exynos 5433 1.9GHz processor, which is the biggest difference from other versions (Snapdragon 805).

Galaxy Note Edge uses a 5.6 inch Quad HD (2560 * 1440) Super AMOLED main screen. It also has a curved screen with 160 pixels horizontally. In fact, Galaxy Note Edge's screen resolution has reached 2560 * 1600, which also exceeds the MX4 Pro (2560 * 1536), which is known as the world's highest resolution.

The layout of the top of the Galaxy Note Edge is basically the same as that of the Galaxy Note 4. There is a light sensor and a distance sensor on the right side of the earpiece. There is a 3.7 million pixel front camera on the far right side. Like Note 4, the Galaxy Note Edge and Note 4 are decorated with stripes.

The lower part is still Samsung's usual physical home key, which is equipped with a fingerprint identification sensor.

Like Note 4, Note Edge is designed with a plastic back cover made of imitation leather. The K version of Note Edge we received is printed with the operator logo of olleh G.

16 megapixel rear camera, F2.2 aperture, with OIS optical anti shake. The lower part of the camera is more complex, with a led fill light, heart rate detector and ultraviolet detector.

Like Note 4, Note Edge adopts the design of metal middle frame, which is much better than Note 4 in workmanship.

A layer of paint with the same color as the fuselage will be sprayed on the middle frame, so the antenna partition strip will be hidden and difficult to detect.

Due to the need to take into account the curved screen, the shape of the middle box of Note Edge at the corner is very irregular, which looks very personalized.

In the curved screen part, the edges also have bright metal polishing edges.

Since the curved screen is on the right side of the body, there is no place to release the key on the right side, and the power on key is arranged on the top. This design is actually not easy to use. For a mobile phone with a large screen like Note Edge and a wide body, it is difficult to press the power key on the top. Of course, when we need to wake up, we can also use the home key. Note Edge is also equipped with an infrared sensor, and the 3.5mm headphone connector is placed on the top of the body.

The bottom has a micro USB interface, and the bottom has a dual microphone design.

As a Galaxy Note series product, S-Pen is certainly an indispensable part.

Note Edge can still remove the back cover and battery. The battery capacity is 3000mAh, which is smaller than the single card version of Note 4.

It supports micro SIM card and TF card expansion, and Korean Note Edge supports GSM, WCDMA and FDD-LTE networks.

Although the diagonal line of the Note Edge screen is 5.6 inches, slightly smaller than the 5.7 inches of the Note 4 screen, the Note Edge screen is not 16:9 screen, and the left border is relatively wide, so the width of the body is much larger than that of the Note 4, and the actual grip should be more supportive.

Compared with the size of Note 4, Note 4 is longer and narrower than Note Edge.

Compared with the previous generation of curved screen Galaxy Round, the size of the fuselage is the same.

Compared with Galaxy Round, the curved screen of Note Edge has completed the transition from dazzling technology to practicality. Of course, to make better use of the curved screen, it needs the support of many third-party applications. In this regard, we are still wait-and-see.

The most special curved screen part of the Note Edge fuselage is defined as a collection of sidebar function menus and notification bars. It also supports the extension of functions by downloading applications, which is a new development direction for the use of curved screens.

In daily use, the curved screen of Note Edge will display customized personal signatures.

When our fingers slide inwards from the phone frame, the curved screen will provide a preset panel for selection.

The curved screen also comes with several small tools. The picture shows that the curved screen is lowered in the lock screen state to realize the function of the scale.

When taking pictures, the function menu will be placed in the part of the curved screen, and the shutter key will be set to the right. However, this key layout is actually not easy to use when taking photos.

In general, the curved screen of Note Edge has some functionality for sports information and contact shortcuts, but it takes some time to adapt.

When holding normally, Note Edge is more suitable for right-handed users. In order to take care of left-handed people, Samsung has also set the 180 ° rotation working mode. At this time, three virtual keys will appear below. At this time, the curved screen is on the left side of the fuselage, which is more suitable for left hand use.

The second layer of packaging is related accessories and instructions.

The accessories are very regular, including earphones, power adapters, data cables, replacement tips for S-Pen, and instructions. Like the Korean version of Note 4, the Korean version of Note Edge no longer "conscientiously" gives an extra battery and seat charge.

The power adapter supports fast charging, with two working states of 9V 1.67A and 5V 2.0A, made in Dongguan.

Note Edge and Note 4 are almost identical on the system, so we will not introduce them in detail here. However, due to the introduction of the curved side screen, the UI of the Note Edge will still have some changes. The launcher removes the four shortcut icon designs of the Dock used by the Samsung tube and displays shortcuts on the side screen instead.

Although the side screen will display real-time notifications, the note edge drop-down bar will still display the content of notifications and shortcut switches normally.

The system of Note Edge is based on TouchWiz of Android 4.4.4. The system kernel is 3.10.9. Like the eight core version of Note 4, the Korean version of Note Edge will also enable 64 bit support after it is updated to Android 5.0.

The Korean version of Note Edge uses Exynos 5433, which has a quad core Cortex-A53 1.3GHz and a quad core Cortex-A57 1.9GHz LITTLE architecture. With 3G Ram+32G Rom, the overall configuration is exactly the same as that of the eight core Note 4. Here we also simply test its performance

Geekbench 3， In the 32-bit system, the single core score is close to 1300, and the performance is good.

Pi, which takes only about 20 seconds to complete the 10 million bit test, is also the top level of Android devices.

RAR copy test, the result is also very good, close to 1800KB/s.

The graph performance test GFXBench 3 is almost the same as the eight core version of Note 4 in the high-level test. The theoretical graph performance is lower than that of Snapdragon 805 and Apple A8, but much better than Exynos 5430, Snapdragon 801 and Apple A7.

The camera configuration of Note Edge and Galaxy Note 4 is almost the same. The Korean version uses the IMX240 sensor with the Exynos 5433 processor, which is also used on the SM-N910C version of Note 4. Here are some live photos:
