PQI has previously launched a wireless SD card called Air Card, which can send WIFI signals to enable mobile terminals that can accept WIFI to view the photo information in the SD card, and even upload and download photos, music and videos. Next, let's test the practicability of this SD card.
This wireless SD card can transmit WIFI signals after it is powered on. As long as your mobile terminal can receive its signals and connect with it, you can view the information in the SD card. Through its special software, you can easily view the photos in the SD card. At present, there are special clients on IOS and Android platforms.
Next, let's take a look at the appearance of the SD card:

After opening the cover, we can see the MicroSD card of the PQI Air Card in the center. On the top is the matched SD card sleeve, and below is a simple multilingual instruction manual.
The MicroSD of this PQI is provided by Samsung.
The MicroSD level is Class 6.
Turning over the MicroSD card, we can see the card's production location information.
Next, the editor uses Sony NEX 6 to take a few photos at random, and then connects the SD card through WIFI. The first WIFI signal in the figure below is the WIFI signal sent by the SD card. It should be noted that the SD card must be powered on to transmit the WIFI signal.
After connecting, you can view the photos in the SD card through the special software shown below.
After connecting and opening the software, you can see the photos.
But what's very strange is that you can view the photos, but you can't zoom in... At least it can't be magnified on my phone. Xiao Bian can zoom in on another colleague's Android phone, but his phone can't call out the menu... It seems that this client is still very immature.
For WIFI connection, you can also set your own password, so that only those who know the password can view the photos of the SD card.
Click the menu button to see other functions, such as refresh, share, upload and download.
Sharing is to share directly to an email. You can select several pieces you like and send the email together.
Downloading is to download photos to the mobile phone, and uploading is also to upload files from the mobile phone to the SD card, which will not be detailed here.
It is worth mentioning that this special client is not very stable, and sometimes it still has no response.
As long as you keep the camera on, you can view the photos in the SD card through your mobile phone.
By the way, in addition to the method of turning on the camera and then using the mobile phone to view photos, you can also pull out the SD card, connect the USB interface with the card reader to power on, and then use the mobile phone to view photos in the SD card.
Wait, there seems to be something wrong with this? I want to ask two serious questions: Since we need to turn on the camera to view photos on our mobile phones, why not view photos directly on the camera?
Since we need to insert the SD card into the card reader to power up before we can view the SD card content with the mobile phone, why don't we view the SD card directly on the PC?
Of course, if you don't like to plug in a data cable to transmit your photos, you can also send them to your mobile phone through a client connection. If your mobile phone or tablet does not have a client, you can use your mobile device to connect to the WIFI signal of the SD card, and then enter 192.168.1.1 in the browser to view your photos on the browser. In addition, there are QR codes of Android and IOS special software on the home page, which is also convenient to download. Here's an example with iPad mini:
According to this principle, you can also use this method to connect your SD card with a laptop or a desktop computer with a wireless network card, but whether it is convenient depends on your usage habits.
In fact, this card is only: you have taken a very important photo, you need to send this photo to someone immediately, and you have no computer, no card reader, no camera cable, and your camera does not have its own WIFI function, and you only have a mobile terminal that can access the Internet, only to meet the above conditions, This SD card can finally play its role! In other cases, it is more convenient to connect the USB data cable or use the card reader, and the transmission speed is faster and more stable.
So it seems that this seemingly high-tech SD card has become useless. It can be said that you don't need to spend 300 yuan to buy this 8G SD card with WIFI function.
