On December 25, TCL first released two smart phones equipped with MTK quad core processor MT6589, Y900 and P600. The P600 adopts a 4.5 inch qHD screen, 1GB memory, 4GB storage, an 8 million pixel camera and 1800mAh battery. The Y900 is a 5-inch 720P screen with a body thickness of 8.5mm. It is reported that the P600 adopting MT6589 will be listed in January next year, and the rumored price is 1499 yuan.
MT6589 is a chip based on the ARM Cortex-A7 architecture of TSMC's 28nm manufacturing process. The GPU uses the SGX544MP of Imaging.
