On CES2013, NVIDIA announced a new generation of SoC - Tegra 4, which has extremely powerful performance as a mobile processor of the next era. After half a year of waiting, we finally ushered in the launch of Tegra 4 equipment.

Let's review the specification of Tegra 4 first. Tegra 4 development code is "Wayne". Like the previous generation of Tegra 3, it also uses the architecture of "4+1" core (Coolpad can now claim to be "five cores"...). Of course, the four cores of Tegra 4 use Cortex-A15, which is much stronger than the Cortex-A9 of Tegra 3. The first batch of Tegra 4 devices launched include Toshiba's Android tablet REGZA Tablet AT703 and NVIDIA's own Android game console Shield Let's take a look at AT703 first. The AT703 is Toshiba's latest 10.1 inch Android tablet, which is very powerful in configuration. Of course, Tegra 4 is the SoC, with a frequency of 1.8GHz. The AT703 also has 2G RAM and 32G ROM (supporting tf card expansion). In addition to the strength of the processor, the screen resolution of the AT703 has also reached 2560 * 1600, and the PPI has reached 300. In the past, the Nexus 10 was the only tablet that reached this height. It is officially announced that the screen uses the TFT screen of "PixelPure LED" technology. In addition to Toshiba's first Tegra 4 tablet, we can certainly not forget Old Huang's own Tegra 4 game console Shield, which is also equipped with Tegra 4 processor+2G Ram, with a relatively small ROM capacity of only 16G (supporting tf card expansion). The other specifications of Shield are not very bright. The screen is a 5-inch 1280 * 720 touch screen. In terms of control, in addition to its own touch screen, Shield can also be operated through two rocker bars, a D-Pad cross key, a gyroscope, gravity sensing and other means. Shield uses the native Android system. The emergence of Tegra 4 undoubtedly makes the high-end market of mobile processors more competitive. Now the high-end market is still Exynos 5410 and Snapdragon 600.
