Although we usually use Alai RED、 Hasu, but GO 2 has always been one of my favorite cameras, and it is also one of the cameras I would like to take out.

GO 3 "grew up", which is the biggest change in the appearance of the camera body. The back is equipped with a heat dissipation structure and a buckle to prevent the camera and the aircraft from moving separately in the air during outdoor sports and crossing the aircraft.
The body and accessories are all bigger and stronger. Even the cost is the same. The charging box that used to be the thickness of TWS earphones is now as thick as a sports camera. Jeans represent our relationship, which is a bit abrupt now.

For the sake of environmental protection (not because of poverty), we are also concerned about whether the two generations of accessories can be used universally, and we have also tested them for our families.
The lens cover and lanyard can be interchanged, but the new lens cover has better light absorption effect and the new lanyard has stronger magnetic force.
Even the charging box has been tried. The GO 2 can be magnetized accurately, but it cannot be charged.
Multi functional expansion cabin and simple experience
Flip screen It can hover 0-180 degrees steplessly, and the rotating shaft is tight, almost without empty position. There are indicator lights, loudspeakers, and even linear motors (think of the 3000 yuan rotor motor mobile phone in the Renaissance this year, it really makes me cry).
LCD screen , standard RGB arrangement+no stroboscopic, or full fit, because here @ iPad 10. Manual brightness adjustment, the maximum brightness can maintain a certain visibility in the sun, basically enough.
5m picture transmission The camera body and expansion cabin are connected quickly. In the split state, moving the camera quickly will see some mosaics, but the image transmission delay of split and composite is close, about 100-200ms.
When the camera is separated from the expansion module, the expansion module can also be directly connected to the camera when it is turned on, and the camera body can be turned off remotely (the expansion module can be turned off separately or both can be turned off). By the way, the expansion module is IPX4 only after it is integrated with the camera, and you should be careful before splitting at the seaside/in the rain.
Due to size and performance limitations, it takes 4-5 seconds for a cold start and 4-6 seconds for a single shot. Even if there is a quick shot (click/double click the shutter when the machine is turned off to shoot directly), it is not suitable for capturing scenes. As an alternative, GO 3 has added a pre recording mode, which can record 10s/15s/30s of video before pressing the shutter (equal to the machine's ability to capture video continuously).
The shooting mode and GO 2 are not very different:

The camera body cancels the vibration function and replaces it with a prompt sound similar to the Casio electronic watch. It is not as easy to confirm the working status as before. But I was the first to vote for the space of the vibration motor to be given to the battery.
Now GO 3 has a "big screen". Daily shooting can be completely separated from mobile phones, and the use experience has been greatly improved. After all, it is still very slow to connect Android apps, and the size of the app has soared to 737MB, more than twice the size of Insta360 Studio for Windows. It is the size you want to download to the next day if there is no Baidu disk member.
For GO 3, I am most dissatisfied with its USB 2.0 transmission speed. This slot is second only to the PC end software and file management (DDDD) handed down by Yingshi.
The transmission peak is 38.7MB/s. You should know that a single RAW photo is 17MB, and the 2.7K 30fps video recorded for 10 minutes is close to 6GB. Perhaps because the camera is connected to the expansion module through 6 contacts on the back (too few contacts), the data transmission speed of GO 3 is limited.

The upgrade core of shadow stone GO 3 imaging part is lens design and algorithm. The CMOS is still 1/2.3 inch 12 million pixels, 1.55 μ m, F2.2 aperture, and 11.24mm equivalent focal length.
Considering the huge difference in price and product category, this time we choose GO 2 and GoPro Hero10 as the comparison objects (not to buy Hero11 without money, don't misunderstand). The algorithm of GO 3 is stronger, and the white balance, light metering, dark brightness, dynamic range (not black as the previous generation), noise reduction, and weak light scenes have all made significant progress The style of the whole film is much more masculine and pleasing to the eye, although the current firmware seems to have a weaker control of the edge purple edge.
PureShot is selected as the default for ordinary photography mode. When taking photos with HDR, you can use insp mode (high color saturation). RAW+HDR has very limited improvement and may be counterproductive.
The Hero 10 photo is 5568x4176=23.25 million pixels, compared with 2560x1400=369 million pixels of the 16:9 photo of the GO series (2560 * 2560=6.55 million pixels can be selected at most), and the daytime discrimination is completely incomparable. Of course, their shapes and uses are not comparable.
remarks: The shadow stone is a symbolic FlowState anti shake (it can be understood as the ultimate version of horizon anti shake, which can output 360 degree horizontal correction video regardless of the angle of the body at the APP/PC end by selecting the free scale video). The actual imaging area of this 4:3 sensor is a circle in 3040x3040, and only uses 3.14 * 1520 * 1520=7.25 million pixels from 12 million pixels (60% off), At 16:9 output, there are only 2560x1440=369 megapixels left in the photo (30% of which are broken).

0-100% charging takes 1 hour and 1 minute. The peak value of charging is close to 11.8W (maintained for 23 minutes). It falls down for 9 minutes (while charging the camera body). After 37 minutes, the power gradually decreases. For small cameras, the charging speed is OK.

The endurance is the biggest improvement of GO 3 in addition to the expansion module:

The more commonly used 2.7K 30FPS video recording can actually last for 40 minutes. Compared with the previous generation of about 23 minutes, it has made great progress.
But the delay photography that this handsome boy most cares about, according to the interval of 0.5 seconds+the power off of the expansion cabin (saving the power consumption of the image transmission), the GO 3 can persist for 67 minutes, its endurance is more than double that of the previous generation (about half an hour of the previous generation), and there is still 1/3 grid power in 50 minutes.
Like the previous generation, GO 3 does not consume CMOS power, but SoC and peripheral circuits. Even if the expansion cabin is closed, GO 3 connects to the mobile phone for standby, and the 35 minute power consumption ranges from 85% to 20% (above 80% power consumption is 1% in 1 minute, and below 80% power consumption is 2% in 1 minute)
The power display of GO 3 engineering firmware is not linear. The lower the power, the more virtual the power (the last 20% of power can only record 4 minutes and 30 seconds of video). Various accessories
As we all know, Insta360 is a creative accessory factory. In order to sell various accessories, they even made their own product lines (bu shi) of wearable cameras, sports cameras and panoramic cameras.
Among the factory accessories, in addition to the magnetic suction lanyard and simple clip (adjustable angle, which can be clipped on the brim or collar) of the previous generation, Yingshi GO 3 also has a steering bracket, with its own magnetic suction quick release buckle, 1/4 screw port and universal joint, as well as a base with washable nano glue, which can be fixed with a single suction camera or expansion cabin.

Magnetic lanyard
Magnetic lanyard (delivered from the factory) is the most important accessory of GO series. Now there is more wire storage function (but the storage slot is really easy to hide dirt), and there is more silicone cushion on the side of the meat (it doesn't hurt so much when you knock on it, but the heat transfer effect is excellent. When you record for a long time, you will feel like a nuclear reactor in Iron Man's chest).
Personally, I think the biggest improvement is that there are more "inclined" shims ↑ (now we can "press down" or "lift up" the lens when we want to show the items on our hands and ride), and the magnetic force is stronger, about 50.34545% stronger. The strong magnetic force is not bad in any way (I have used GO 2 for more than 2 years, and I have tried to scrape the camera off by backpack or moving things several times).

The end point of small cameras is the motion camera/vlog camera.
As a vlog camera, GO 3 has a flip screen, which does not limit the duration of a single video. It has better recording, priority light measurement for faces, and even language control (besides taking pictures/starting and stopping video recording, it can also "mark" and shut down).
As a wearable camera, the endurance of GO 3 has doubled, and the heat is not so fierce. Although it becomes larger and heavier, it is still within the acceptable range. Its use is mainly limited by your imagination and your physical mechanics test scores.
The GO series has finally made a pleasing picture style, but the pain of 2K level video recording and video resolution (now 4K is almost universal) can only be solved by customizing the square sensor or giving up the horizon anti shake. Got it, wait for GO 4 after 2 and a half years.
Although the image quality is definitely not as good as that of a sports camera, the thumb size body can be hung on a sticky racket/skateboard/crossing machine, can clip the brim of a hat, can hang on a cat or a dog, or can be hung on the chest, without my care or embarrassment to others. This is why I like to record life with Insta360 GO.
The current GO series can be used as a driving recorder for walking. My highest expectation for them is that they will one day be able to achieve a 12 hour level of delay photography, which can be used as a "life recorder".
Yingshi GO series and X series are niche products that are difficult to find friends. The purchase suggestion is "buy early and enjoy early" (the price of GO 2 is still firm compared with X2, and GO 3 has not been sold yet, so GO 2 has been taken off the shelves. JD third-party stores are still selling 1769 yuan, 29 yuan cheaper than the published price, and Taobao even has 1688 yuan of second-hand products...)
The price of the first generation GO is 1288 yuan, the price of GO 2 is 1798 yuan, and the 32GB version of GO 3 is 2298 yuan (2498 yuan for the 64GB version, 2798 yuan for the 128GB version). The picture quality and endurance of GO 3 are better, and the multi-function expansion cabin with flip screen is added. The difference of 500 yuan is OK.
But if we can get a charging box like GO 2 for GO 3, the total price is close to that of the previous generation, I will blow it directly (I've already decided on the name, let's call it GO 3 SE.).
