IQOO Neo8 Pro evaluation: the first launch of Tianji 9200 since 3099 yuan+

IQOO Neo8 Pro was released on May 24, upgrading the screen SoC、 I mainly shoot three big items, and the core selling point is the light of the first starter - Tianji 9200+. It now has a 1.5K screen with the same IMX866 camera as the vivo X90 and similar specifications, priced from 3099 yuan (16+256).

appearance

Vivo/iQOO has popularized the environment-friendly (65W fast charging for laptops) C port 120W old friend V12060L0A0-CN.

Now, as long as we see the 120W model of Blue Factory, most of the official fittings are made of it.

IQOO 11, iQOO Neo8 Pro, iQOO Neo7 Racing Version ↑ (iQOO Neo8 Pro's jaw width control is slightly better than the previous generation)

The iQOO Neo8 Pro is replaced by a design language similar to the vivo S series.

Vivo really listened to users' opinions and cancelled the 200W tactical sub camera that many people scolded, It really, I cry to death . If you don't have a telephoto, just take a serious double shot, win-win。

In addition to upgrading the screen to 1.5K, almost all the peripheral configurations of the iQOO Neo8 Pro are similar to those of the iQOO Neo7/Neo7 racing version.

Short focus optical fingerprint (lower position), double lift (sound quality and volume are OK)+dual area pressure sense of screen+double X-axis vibration motor (this is special for games, but the actual strength of a single one is weak, and it is not as popular as a single one with large volume for daily use).

Objective test: screen&performance&endurance&charging

IQOO Neo8 Pro is the first iQOO mobile phone with 1.5K screen.

Its screen specifications look very similar to X90, but one is straight screen and the other is curved screen: 6.78 inch 144Hz BOE 1.5K four gear flexible straight screen, 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, 2800x1260452ppi, global excitation 10000nit, local peak 1300nit, 1200Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate.

  • IQOO Neo8 Pro The brightness performance is obviously better, and the control condition of low brightness "rag phenomenon" is also much better

  • In manual full white, the brightness of the four corners is 559/556/597/596, with an extreme value of 37 nits. The brightness uniformity is not top, but it is also commendable.

  • However, the iQOO Neo8 Pro is not as good as the X90, which is the standard of ordinary flagship.

2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming is turned on by default at low brightness (half of the slider is lower, and the brightness is 80-90 nits), It still defaults to the forced lock 120Hz touch sampling rate ¥%……#¥%&#&##

The iQOO Neo8 Pro launched Tianji 9200+, which is the extreme overclocking version. MediaTek claims that the single core performance of Tianji 9200+will increase by 10%, the multi-core performance will increase by 5%, and the GPU will increase by about 10%:

  • The CPU frequency is increased from 3.05+2.85+1.8 (X3+3xA715+4xA510 refreshed) of Tianji 9200 to 3.35+3+2 (the frequency of large core is increased by 10%, and the frequency of small core is increased by 11%)

  • The GPU is still Immortalis-G715 MC11, with a frequency increase of 17% (Tianji 9200 is 981MHz, which means that the GPU frequency of Tianji 9200+has gone to 981x1.17=1147.77MHz. The G715 MC11 with a frequency of 1.148GHz is really fantastic)

As a comparison:

  • The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy is 3.36+2.8+2, and the ordinary Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is 3.2+2.8+2.

  • Tianji 9000 is 3.05+2.85+1.8, and Tianji 9000+is 3.2+2.85+1.8

The iQOO Neo8 Pro is equipped with 5022mm ² VC soaking plate for Tianji 9200+, but the actual The peak performance is improved, basically in line with the nominal value of MediaTek GPU has surpassed Qualcomm, but CPU still has a gap (Without a big core, the improvement is quite weak in the RAR test of non scoring white list).

Standby power, single baking X3 large core, CPU single baking ↑ (the lowest brightness in flight mode is tested for reference. For dual core models, the value is x2)

Power consumption of Tianji 9200+ Somatosensory and The heating rate is very similar to Tianji 9000+. It is very hot when downloading at full speed, installing apps, and switching/opening multiple apps at high speed.

The iQOO Neo8 Pro's default mode is also actively adjusted. The APP can be opened and the information flow under high pressure can be fully opened, even the APP can be switched. In other daily situations, the three A715 and A510 are running at full frequency.

Streaming saving: the smoothness of application opening/switching is higher than that of X90, and it is similar to that of X90 within the application.

(Test environment: 200 nit screen brightness, test power range 30% to 80%. Including 30 minutes of "Peace Elite" HDR HD+limit frames+anti aliasing, 30 minutes of 1080P video playback on station B, 30 minutes of short video on microblog, 30 minutes of Wi Fi and 5G surfing, a total of 2.5 hours)

Although the extreme frequency and power consumption of Tianji 9200+are both high, the daily frequency/power consumption is affected by the manufacturer's settings (low EQ: the frequency limited to Tianji 9200 is the power consumption of Tianji 9200). Endurance and X90, iQOO Neo7 Racing Edition/Neo7 SE (The X90 battery is smaller and has the same result. The Tianji 9200 is indeed more efficient).

But this is the endurance model of light and medium load, If you often switch between multiple apps or continuously load/download (These are the scenes that can make Tianji 9200+fully open), Can feel the influence of crazy frequency on endurance and fever

5000mAh+120W fast charge. The peak power is 101W, the charging time is 27 minutes, and the charging time is 27.5 minutes.

It is more conservative than other 120W fast charging models, but almost.

The iQOO Neo8 Pro has a vivo V1+self-developed chip, which is mainly upgraded to the IMX866 of the same model as the vivo X90 (but the aperture is smaller than the X90):

  • Front 1600W, 1 μ m, 1/3.1 ", F2.45

  • Main camera 5000W, IMX866 VCS, RGBW, 1 μ m, 1/1.49 ", F1.88+OIS

  • Ultra wide angle 800W 1.12 μ m, 1/4 ", F2.2, equivalent 16mm (tactical depth of field sub photography is canceled)

With the stronger IMX866 and vivo V1+, iQOO Neo8 Pro The subjective performance can really surpass the previous generation , less sharpening, more details, stronger noise reduction, more accurate white balance, even the hair color is not so rich (low contrast and saturation, in fact, are the side effects of RGBW arrangement, but it is just the algorithm used to neutralize vivo's rich color).

On the super wide angle side, the hardware specifications are close, but the iQOO Neo8 Pro algorithm is more powerful, multi frame synthesis is more active, and the duration is exaggerated (there are few machines that can set the automatic night scene to 2.5 seconds, but the film rate is good, and the words in capital letters are for you), Super wide angle details are better than the previous generation, but the taste of MSG is really strong.

However, I don't know whether it is limited by the MediaTek platform, and the 2x algorithm is inferior to the previous generation.

summary

The iQOO Neo8 Pro is like a direct screen vivo X90 with a plastic middle frame instead of a secondary camera, but the price is more than 1500 yuan lower.

IQOO Neo8 Pro The main camera and screen are stronger than iQOO Neo7 racing version . The low brightness screen uniformity of the one we have is also significantly better than that of the vivo X90.

For Tianji 9200+, the bad news is that the peak power consumption and heat generation are indeed higher. The good news is that only a few scenarios, such as application switching and heavy loading, are like this (these scenarios are really faster). The use experience of most other scenarios is not much different from that of the 9200. Streaming saving is a conventional half generation upgrade. The frequency of the manufacturer's daily use of Tianji 9200 is the power consumption of Tianji 9200... Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is more practical.

If the iQOO Neo8 Pro can use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, it is simply a civilian iQOO 11.

If you can set a price of 3000 less than that of the Nubian Z50 and K60 Pro after the price reduction, it will be a killer. Unfortunately, it is not good. After all, Vivo and Fage are already in the shape of each other. Maybe there will be iQOO Neo8 racing version of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2? But I didn't know it would be months later
