Samsung's S5KHPX is the second mass produced 200 million pixel sensor. The HPX is also "the first 200 million pixel sensor for young people" because it is carried by the Redmi Note 12 Pro+for over 2099 yuan.
In order to see how much the 200 million pixels are worth, we found our competitors under the same Redmi door: the 6400W Samsung GW1's Redmi Note 11T Pro+, and the 108 million pixel HM2's Redmi K50 Pro. The iQOO 10 Pro of the 5000W Samsung GN5 (close to the performance of the IMX766/766V) is used as the reference object.
Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 200 megapixel Samsung HPX, 0.56 μ m. 1/1.4 inch, daily 16 in 10 2.24 μ M 1250W, 4 in 1, 1.12 μ M 5000W mode. Its matched lens has a high specification, F1.65+OIS, 7P lens, 6.14mm focal length
Redmi Note 11T Pro+ 6400W Samsung GW16400W, 1/1.72 inch, 0.8 μ m. F1.9, no OIS, the specification is the weakest among several sets
Redmi K50 Pro Samsung HM210800W, S5KHM2, 0.7 μ m. 9 in 1 into 2.1 μ m. 1/1.52 ", F1.9, with OIS
iQOO 10 Pro It is micro PTZ GN55000W, 1/1.57 '', 1 μ m. 7P lens, 23mm, F1.88. The sensor size and light input are not as good as those of Redmi Note 12 Pro+, but the quality of GN5 itself and vivo algorithm are strong.
Ultra wide angle contrast
On the ultra wide angle side, except that the iQOO 10 Pro is a serious 150 degree ultra wide angle JN1 (5000W, 1/2.76 ", 0.64 μ m. Equivalent 15mm, 6P lens, F2.27), and the other several are limited by positioning and price. They are all 800W F2.2 tactical super wide angle, so you can only have fun here.

IQOO 10 Pro is the ancestral smearing and sharpening algorithm of vivo. At first glance, it is clear, but in fact, the details suffer. When the zoom is 2x, the 1600W output Redmi Note 11T Pro+is still popular. High pixels mean you can do whatever you want.

In the evaluation of Redmi Note 12 Pro+, we have compared its high pixel mode with the 50 million pixel mode in the professional mode, and their effects are similar. Here we use the high pixel mode sample.
In addition, Redmi Note 12 Pro+is special. It has a 16 in 1 50 megapixel mode and a 4 in 1 200 megapixel mode. Here we compare them separately.

summary
This time, there is a clear difference between the strengths and weaknesses of the comparison models, ranking from high to low:
iQOO 10 Pro: No suspense, the best performance. The imaging is the same as Vivo's photography flagship. The hair color is pleasant, and it is difficult to have the opponent's highlight suppression. The HDR force is too strong, and the dark details are rich. The exposure of the weak light scene is significantly higher than that seen by the naked eye. The weakness is the powerful sharpening and smearing algorithm. The details of the picture are few, the discrimination is weak, and the magnification has a sense of plastic/oil painting.
Redmi K50 Pro: The performance is obviously better than at the beginning of the release. Although HM2 was once the shame of 100 million pixels (now "surpassed" by HM6), the performance of K50 Pro is still passable. The advantage is that the details of the high pixel mode are significantly improved, the daily performance is stable, and the algorithm intervention is relatively light. The shutter response is like a machine gun. Even the output of 100 million pixels is machine gun level, and there is very little "sandwiched phenomenon" (because of poor processing, some samples are output without processing). Unfortunately, the UWA is a real "algorithm 0 addition", and there is no night view algorithm. The automatic HDR is virtually non-existent (in fact, the UWA of the three Redmis are almost the same).
Redmi Note 12 Pro+: It seems that the bottom layer of HPX is still used as a CMOS with 5000W pixels. Its 50 megapixel mode and 200 megapixel mode are not very different (no wonder the professional mode does not provide 200 megapixel output). However, the 200 megapixel mode has multiplied its volume after interpolation, and has no practical value until new firmware is pushed, leading to the 200 megapixel mode being very lonely.
Note 12 Pro+has significantly higher enthusiasm for multi frame synthesis than the previous Redmi models, but there is still much room for improvement in the current algorithm. The 1/1.4-inch outsole in the daytime sample can indeed bring more dark details than HM2, but it may not be adjusted properly, and the night scene performance lags behind HM2, which surprises me.
Redmi Note 11T Pro+: After all, it is a performance oriented machine, and the price is cheap, so the camera can't demand too much. The metering is generally dark, and the white balance is not stable. The advantage is that 16 million pixels are output, and the details are better when the light is good, but the main weak light and ultra wide angle are weak.
