Take photos to pop eggs, iQOO Z6 evaluation: Snapdragon 778G+and 80W fast charge from 1699 yuan

Vivo released the iQOO Z6x of Snapdragon 778G Plus+80W fast charging iQOO Z6 and 6000mAh batteries on August 25, priced from 1699 yuan and 1199 yuan respectively. There was no plan for detailed evaluation, but the algorithm saved the GW3 with 64 million pixels, 1/1.97 inch and 0.7 μ m, making iQOO Z6 interesting.

In configuration, iQOO Z6 is 8.59mm and weighs 194.6g. Snapdragon 778G Plus, 4500mAh battery+80W fast charge. 6.64 "120Hz LCD, peak 650 nits. 6400W GW3+double 200W sub camera with OIS. 1699 yuan for version 8+128, 1899 yuan for version 8+256, and 2099 yuan for version 12+256.

Appearance and accessories

Vivo is the first manufacturer to release 80W fast charging. The charging head is the same V8060L0A0 as the vivo X80 and iQOO Neo6, manufactured by Jinhu OEM, while our Neo6 is the version of Kangshu OEM.

The charging head is a magic A-port, compatible with the vivo private protocol of 18W QC2.0 and up to 20V 4A, does not support PD, and the "environmental performance" needs to be improved.

The iQOO Z6 is 164.17x75.8x8.59mm and weighs 194.6g. There are three kinds of colors: black jade, Xinghai (bright blue) and golden orange. The whole series has the reflective effect of blinking. "Plastik" middle frame+back cover, but fortunately, the ID design is online, and the "big double ring" camera matrix is very pleasing.

The most special thing is that it SIM card slot on top To prevent the tragedy of connecting the main microphone by mistake (although it is generally not broken), and it has an extremely advanced 3.5mm headphone port.

External release: The cost of the SIM card slot on the top is also obvious, there is no place to make dual speakers!!! The iQOO Z6 (certified by Hi Res wired and wireless) main speaker has a large volume and sound quality.

Side fingerprint: The speed and blind touch effect can kill the fingerprint under the short focus screen (the optical fingerprint is sprayed at the lower position). The button is basically flush with the middle frame. It will be a bit awkward without a shell.

Vibration: The strength of the X-axis linear motor is enough, but slightly loose.

Objective test

IQOO Z6 is a 6.64-inch 120Hz central perforated LCD screen with global DC dimming (nonsense, LCD will never be a slave! )2388x1080, 7-speed transmission, peak 650 nit, 240Hz touch sampling rate, with Rhine Global Eye Care certification.

It is also the ancestral operation of Blue Factory, actually The touch sampling rate is limited to 120Hz, and a few whitelist games can reach 240Hz.

In terms of brightness, iQOO Z6 is the same as Redmi Note 11T Pro+. Although it is LCD, it also learned the excitation brightness design of OLED. However, the iQOO Z6 manual brightness limit is set too low, only 416 nits. At this time, the four corner brightness is 417/417/387/402 nits, and the lower part is darker, with average uniformity. Its peak brightness is stronger than the previous generation iQOO Z5, and weaker than the strongest LCD this year (Redmi Note 11T Pro/Pro+).

The color accuracy performance is better than that of the previous generation, The default vivid mode can achieve an average color deviation of ↑ (P3 color gamut) of 2.3, which is remarkable. But on the contrary, the professional mode has the biggest color deviation, and we are all silly. So unless you like the faint effect of professional mode, you should not switch the display mode. It is OK by default.

The most special thing about this screen is , the minimum brightness is very low, It is the kind of "almost can't see the content under the indoor light, even if the light turns off completely, it will feel too dark". It is more confident and eye protection than the entry-level OLED that dare not press the brightness LCD will never be a slave!

For performance, iQOO Z6 is a Snapdragon 778G Plus with 6400Mbps full blood LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 (128 layer V6), 1550mm two VC soaking plate (flagship is 2000-5100mm2).

Before Tianji 8100 came out, Snapdragon 778G/778G+was the most sweet mid end SoC. The CPU performance was fully adequate, the GPU was weak, and the power was very low. It's a pity that there are 8100 Tianji now. The iQOO Z6's actual multi-core CPU performance is conservative, and its peak performance cannot even beat that of the previous generation. However, the GPU has improved significantly, and the flash memory is slightly stronger than that of the previous generation.

The room temperature is 24.4 degrees, and the maximum temperature is 39.9 degrees after 20 minutes of Peace Elite (HDR HD+limited frames+anti aliasing). Previously, it was OK, but it could not win the Tianji 8100 and Snapdragon 8+models.

IQOO Z6 is a Snapdragon 778G+equipped with 4500mAh battery, 200 nit screen brightness. After 30 minutes of "Peace Elite" (HDR HD+limit frames+anti aliasing), 30 minutes of 1080P video playback at station B, 30 minutes of microblog short video, 30 minutes of Wi Fi and 5G surfing respectively, the remaining power is 69% after 2.5 hours of endurance test.

The endurance performance is average, mixed with a number of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 models. Although it is still ahead of many Snapdragon 888 models, this is a Snapdragon 778G+, and 4500mAh batteries should also have better performance. Daily CPU scheduling is not particularly crazy, and the reason is unknown.

80W fast charging, 69W peak, 100% display in 31 minutes, 33 minutes off charging, slightly faster than the same 80W, but the iQOO Neo6 with slightly larger battery, performs normally.

photograph

IQOO Z6 focuses on 6400W GW3, 1/1.97 inch, 0.7 μ m, F1.79, With OIS, it is equipped with 200W macro range+200W depth of field tactical sub camera. Front 800W, 1.12 μ m, 1/4 inch, F2.0。

This should be a configuration with nothing to say. After all, if you haven't added ultra wide angle, you will know what the positioning is. But after a small try, we found that vivo still released a good photography algorithm, so we found the use of GW1 (6400W, 1/1.72 ", 0.8 μ m, no OIS) Redmi Note 11T Pro+, as well as the real GT Neo3 (IMX766+OIS, 5000W, 1 μ m, 1/1.55") with the sensor strong in 2-3 gears. Now let's see the unfair comparison.

Main camera contrast 1, panoramic and central magnification

"2x zoom" contrast, panoramic and central magnification

In the face of larger CMOS, no matter how high the pixel is, it is useless. Even though the real GT Neo3 has a larger viewing angle and lower pixels, the IMX766's "2x zoom" still kills two 1600W CMOS chips.

Main camera contrast 6, manual night scene mode for iQOO Z6 (the final three sets are all rotated for about 0.5 seconds), panoramic and central magnification

I don't know whether it is a bug or because of the location problem. In the current version of firmware, the HDR trigger of iQOO Z6 is very passive, and even does not automatically trigger the night view mode (AI only prompts you at the corner that you can manually switch the night view mode). But in fact, most of its scenes will enable multi frame composition. To some extent, this is not the perfect state of iQOO Z6.

Even limited by algorithm and computing power, iQOO Z6 is not as powerful as Vivo's flagship highlight suppression capability, but the dark details still have the usual brightening processing of blue factory: use the weakest CMOS to deliver the best dark details. In addition to the dark scenes that will not trigger the automatic night scene, most of the iQOO Z6 scenes have higher light metering than the other two.

If you manually click the night view mode according to AI prompts, and the slow shutter duration is close, the iQOO Z6 can even break the wrist with the IMX766's true self GT Neo3, Just one word: Gan! This makes the bug that "does not automatically switch the night view mode" even more hateful (if it is a bug).

However, it is good enough to make the weakest 6400W CMOS perform like this, It is definitely beyond expectations. I would like to call it the strongest GW3.

summary

The cheapest Snapdragon 778G mobile phone should be the real Q3s (5000mAh battery+30W fast charge). The latter's 8+128 version is now 1299 yuan, 400 yuan cheaper than the matched iQOO Z6. Even the iQOO Neo5 SE of Snapdragon 870 is now about 1700 yuan.

The core selling points of iQOO Z6 are 80W fast charging and never slave LCD. The biggest hidden egg is taking pictures. Reasonably, the iQOO Z6x released together can more arouse my interest (Tianji 810+6000 mAh battery, starting from 1199 yuan), but the iQOO Z6's balanced performance makes me look forward to its performance on the Double 11.
