On the afternoon of December 14, OPPO released the new generation of AR smart glasses OPPO Air Glass at its future science and technology conference.

OPPO Air Glass adopts a monocular split design, with a body weight of about 30g (6.6g lenses) and lenses as thin as 1.3mm. It is equipped with a variety of sizes of frames (which can be adapted to optical lenses), which are attached to the glasses legs by magnetic force when used.

In terms of display, OPPO Air Glass is equipped with optical waveguide sapphire lenses, and a silicon based micro LED display with the highest brightness of 3 million nits. The entire optical path is also composed of a self-made Spark micro optical machine and five pieces of high resolution antireflection optical glass, with an eye brightness of 1400 nits; The processing chip uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4100 platform designed for wearable devices.

Functionally, OPPO Air Glass is positioned as an AR auxiliary tool, which currently mainly supports notification reminder, weather reminder, riding navigation, speech inscription, real-time translation and other functions.

In terms of battery life, the official nominal battery life with OPPO Air Glass can be up to 10.5 hours (single battery life will be shorter).

And this is different from the previous two generations of concept products. The official said that OPPO Air Glass will be launched for trial in February next year and sold in spring.
