On October 8, it was reported that IDC, a market research organization, had recently released a statistical report on the shipments of China's Bluetooth headset market in the first half of 2021.

This report shows that the total number of wireless Bluetooth headsets shipped in China in the first half of 2021 will be 53.74 million, an increase of 26.8% over the same period last year.

In terms of each category, 36.25 million wireless headsets were shipped in the first half of the year, with a year-on-year growth of 32.1%. Undoubtedly, it has become the mainstream category of the entire wireless headset market, with the fastest growth rate; 11.89 million neck mounted Bluetooth headsets were shipped, up 12.2% year on year; 5.14 million Bluetooth headsets were shipped, up 24.6%.

The report also pointed out that, with the decline in price, active noise reduction has been rapidly popularized in the real wireless headset market. In the first half of the year, the shipment of real wireless headphones with active noise reduction has accounted for nearly 34% (less than 20% in the same period last year). At present, the real wireless headset products mainly promoted by several mobile phone manufacturers basically have the noise reduction function.

IDC expects that the shipment volume of the domestic Bluetooth headset market will reach 120 million in 2021, and under the key layout of manufacturers, the last two years will be an important window for the popularization and growth of Bluetooth headphones.
