According to this statistics, in the second quarter of 2021, the total global mobile phone shipments grew by 12% year on year, of which Samsung still took the first place in the market share, with a share of 19%, and the shipment grew by 15% year on year; For the first time, Xiaomi ranked second in the world in terms of share, accounting for 17%, and its shipments increased by 83% over the same period last year; Apple, OPPO, and vivo rank second to fifth respectively, of which OPPO and vivo all have a growth rate of more than 25%. Although this statistical data does not list the specific shipment volume for the time being, it can be seen from Canalys' data last year that Xiaomi shipped 28.8 million mobile phones in the second quarter of 2020, and the shipment volume in the second quarter of this year has reached about 52.7 million based on an 83% increase. Ben Stanton, research manager of Canalys, said that Xiaomi is rapidly expanding its overseas business, and its shipments in Latin America, Africa and Western Europe have soared by more than 300%, 150% and 50% respectively.
