M43 camera of Android system, YN455 live camera released

On July 9, it was reported that Yongnuo, a domestic video equipment manufacturer, released Yongnuo YN455 live camera yesterday. The new camera uses M4/3 frame sensor and Snapdragon SoC, supports 4G networking, and runs Android 10 system.

YN455 3D 162x85x56mm, 670g. The core part is the CMOS with 20 megapixel M4/3 frame, and the M4/3 lens bayonet is compatible with most of the lenses of Panasonic, Alba, Yongnuo, Xiaoyi, and even Leica, and supports up to 4K 30FPS video recording (bit rate unknown).

It is the most powerful Android device for taking pictures. After all, the M4/3 sensor is twice as big as the 1-inch sensor (Sharp R6 level), and it is naturally several circles larger than the 1/1.12 "CMOS of Xiaomi 11 Ultra.

It uses Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC and only knows that the CPU is 8 core 2.2GHz. Could it be the Snapdragon 630 of the eight core A53? A 73+A53 Snapdragon 660? It may also be Snapdragon 678/710/730. However, Snapdragon 750G and Snapdragon 626 can be excluded. The former is Bluetooth 5.1, and the latter is Bluetooth 4.1.

Yongnuo YN455 uses 6GB memory+64G storage, and supports 256GB memory card at most. It supports 2/3/4G networks (including telecom cards), a 5-inch 1920x1080 touch flip screen, and fine-grained calls on most mobile phones today. As a camera, it even has an 8 megapixel fixed focus front camera, surprise!

It uses the TF card (mirco SD) commonly used in mobile devices, rather than the SD card commonly used in cameras. There are 3.5mm headphone interface and 3.5mm three-stage external microphone interface, and nano SIM card slot is located at the bottom of the fuselage. Dual Type-C ports. The side C port supports DP output (up to 1080P). The bottom C port is set to connect OTG to the wired network card.

Android 10 system, 4400mAh battery (16.72Wh)+18W PD/QC3 fast charge, and the battery is detachable as a normal camera. Dual band Wi Fi, GPS, LED fill light and flash interface are available. Because the positioning is a live camera, it can also be connected to the computer via USB and then act as the camera of the computer.

In fact, Yongnuo also made YN450M which also supports 4G network and runs Android 7.1 system, but at that time, it was positioned as an "ordinary" camera and used a 16 million pixel M4/3 sensor. The camera running Android system has the disadvantage of power on speed and standby capacity. The advantage is that it can process photos and videos locally, and has stronger expansibility. What a pity it is that Yongnuo YN455 should not support phone calls and text messages, and cannot achieve the goal of "my camera can make calls".

The initial price of Yongnuo YN455 is 3888 yuan for bare machine, 4487 yuan for the version with Yongnuo 25mm F1.7 lens, and 4686 yuan for the version with 42.5mm F1.7 lens.
