Philips Launches 55 inch 4K 144Hz E-sports Display: Built for Xbox

Philips recently launched a Momentum 559M1RYV 55 inch e-sports display, which is more similar to the TV in appearance, and has an independent bar speaker at the metal base below.

In terms of display specifications, Philips Momentum 559M1RYV is equipped with a 55 inch, 3840 × 2160 resolution VA LCD panel, which supports a maximum 144Hz refresh rate and VRR variable refresh rate. The grayscale response time is 4ms, covering 95% DCI-P3 color gamut, and supporting 1.07 billion color displays. The HDR peak brightness can reach 1200 nits, the contrast ratio 4000:1, and the nominal Delta E<2.

The display is equipped with three HDMI 2.1 interfaces, which can meet the 4K 120Hz output requirements of next-generation game consoles such as Xbox Series X, in addition to one DP 1.4 and one USB-C interface. It is also said to have designed a dedicated game mode for Xbox and jointly debugged it with Microsoft engineers.

The bar sound box is designed by Bowers&Wilkins, with 2.1 channels, 40W output power and DTS sound effect.

Philips Momentum 559M1RYV monitor is priced at 1600 dollars overseas, and has been listed in China at present. The price on JD platform is 12999 yuan.
