On June 30, it was reported that Apple officially announced today that the Apple Store in mainland China has officially launched a retail store pickup service. Users can pick up goods at the nearby Apple Store retail store within one hour as soon as they place an order on Apple's official website and complete the payment.
Officially, all off the shelf products, whether iPhone, iMac or accessory products, support the pickup service. When the user selects "I want to pick up the goods" at checkout, he can select the pick up location. The goods marked "Available today" can usually be ready for picking up within one hour after payment. To pick up goods at the store, you need to show the confirmed order and valid personal identity card.
In fact, Apple's similar service of picking up goods at the store has existed for a long time, but it is basically limited to the first launch of iPhone and other new products. Users book in advance on the official website, and then pay for picking up goods at the store on the day of the first launch. This time, all daily online orders are included, and the payment process is also completed online, which can be said to make the online and offline sales system more closely integrated.
Of course, this service has nothing to do with most users in the third and fourth tier cities in China. After all, the coverage of Apple Store's official retail stores in China is relatively limited. At present, 42 retail stores in China are mainly concentrated in Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin and Chongqing, as well as several provincial capitals and sub provincial cities.
