The introduction of 4G models is probably also due to the fourth round of sanctions imposed by the United States, which led to Huawei's 5G models and equipment not being supplied with 5G related components.

In addition, according to the latest information from an overseas Twitter blogger, Huawei's P50 series may mix several SoCs, among which the standard P50 will be equipped with Kirin 9000L 5G (A77 core reduced to 2.86GHz, GPU cut to 18 cores) or Snapdragon 888 4G with the 5G module cut off, and the large P50 Pro will be equipped with Kirin 9000E 5G or Snapdragon 888 4G, The super large P50 Pro+is equipped with a full blood Kirin 9000 5G.

The MatePad Pro 10.8 and MatePad 11 released this month are equipped with Snapdragon 870 and Snapdragon 865 chips respectively, but they do not support 5G. Under the special background of sanctions, some of Huawei's next products may have to rely on these "special version" chips.
