OPPO Reno6 Pro experience evaluation: thinness and appearance are the password of wealth
OPPO Reno6 Pro experience evaluation: thinness and appearance are the password of wealth

As the core product of OPPO's offline market, the Reno series can be said to have a fast iteration speed. Just two years ago, the sixth generation product, Reno6 series, was launched not long ago, and we also got the "big cup" - Reno6 Pro with Tianji 1200. Now let's see how OPPO's next-generation product performs.

Appearance/feel

The appearance design of this generation of Reno6 Pro still continues the style of Reno4 Pro and Reno5 Pro. The front is a slightly curved single hole screen in the upper left corner, and the screen opening is still the same size as the previous generation; The top adopts a flat design, and the treatment of the top two corners is different from that of the previous generation, which is not consistent with the screen R corner, but slightly protruding.

The back is a glass body that further upgrades the so-called diamond 3.0 process. It has a smooth touch and is not easy to get fingerprints. This one we have is OPPO's main "Summer Sunny Sea" color matching. Most of the time, it looks like a light blue, and some areas will reflect gloss. It seems that we want to create a sense of sunlight shining on the sea. We have to say that OPPO is playing color matching with great success now, I believe that this simple and elegant color matching should be favored by many users.

The thin and light characteristics of these generations of Reno products continue to be retained on the Reno6 Pro. The overall weight is 177g (only 4g higher than the previous generation. It is important to know that this generation has also increased the battery and added the X-axis linear motor), and the thickness is only 7.6mm. In addition, the effect of narrowing both sides of the curved screen further strengthens the user's perception of thin. Since my previous main machine was a nut R2 with a 216g weight and a straight middle frame design, this feeling of light and thin changes will be more obvious.

In short, in terms of appearance ID, these generations of Reno have obviously formed their own style. Reno6 Pro mainly makes minor changes in technology and color matching. Of course, I still hope that the next generation Reno can have a new ID design. After all, even the most beautiful design is easy to be aesthetic fatigue when used too much.

screen

In terms of screen, Reno6 Pro is equipped with an OLED screen with FHD+resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. It is worth noting that this screen is from BOE, and the sub-pixel arrangement is also a common "Zhou Dongyu arrangement" of BOE OLEDs.

OPPO did not hesitate to say this, and directly marked the screen supplier as BOE on the mobile phone packaging box - this is worth following up and learning from friends.

(Soft mode color accuracy)

The measured screen manual full white maximum brightness is 456 nits, local 519 nits, full white excitation brightness is 567 nits, local 652 nits; The default vivid mode color temperature is 7199K, covering 129.2% sRGB and 94.9% P3 color gamut; The color accuracy is average, and the average color deviation in soft mode (sRGB) is only 4.1.

Of course, the problem of strong perception is the influence of "Zhou Dongyu arrangement" on display fineness.

performance

The Reno6 Pro is equipped with the hardware combination of Tianji 1200 SoC, UFS 3.1 flash memory and LPDDR4x. With the support of Tianji 1200, the performance of the Reno6 Pro is closer to the level of the flagship compared with the Tianji 1000+of the Reno5 Pro and the Snapdragon 765G of the Reno4 Pro.

First, let's take a look at the comparison of various run scores:

CPU

GPU

Flash Memory

In terms of the game, we also ran "Glory of the King" and "Peace Elite". However, even if the two game systems cracked 90 frames, they will limit the maximum frame rate to 60 frames, which is naturally not too much pressure:

(The king's glory is of extreme picture quality and ultra-high resolution)

camera

This time, Reno6 Pro adopts a four camera combination of 64 million pixel main camera (OV64B, 1/2 inch bottom), 8 million pixel ultra wide angle, 2 million pixel macro, and 2 million pixel portrait style lens.

In most scenes with sufficient light, the photos taken by Reno6 Pro are relatively satisfactory. However, in some relatively dim scenes, because the main shooting background is only 1/2 inch and there is no optical anti shake support, the effect of night scene straight out is not ideal. After turning on the night scene mode, there is some improvement, but it still cannot break through the hardware level restrictions. For users who need to take photos, the Reno6 Pro+with IMX766 as the main camera and more full focus section may be a better choice.

Endurance/charging/others

The battery capacity of Reno6 Pro is upgraded from 4350mAh of Reno5 Pro to 4500mAh Love to play computer games In the 2.5 hour endurance test, the remaining power is 73%, which is equal to the real GT Neo with the same 4500mAh battery and Tianji 1200. It is above the average among the mobile phones we tested this year.

For charging, the 65W SuperVOOC provided by the green factory is still available. I feel that this solution can be used for a year or two in high-end models. The measured charging starts from 1%, it takes 5 minutes to charge to 23%, 10 minutes to charge to 41%, 30 minutes to charge to 97%, and it takes 34 minutes to charge to 100%.

During the charging process, the peak value can reach 54 and 55W for about 4 minutes, and then it drops to 42W in the second gear. At the seventh minute, it starts to stabilize around 33 and 34W for a long time. After 24 minutes, the power starts to decline in a stepwise manner, and after 38 minutes, it has basically been disconnected.

This time, the Reno6 Pro finally joined the X-axis linear motor. The vibration is very strong. Although there is a little spring feeling sometimes, the overall experience must be hanging the previous generation Reno5 Pro, which is also better than the Z-axis motor of the flagship Find X3 series.

summary

Different from Internet brands competing for the position of "gatekeeper" and "welding gatekeeper", in OPPO's product system, The Reno series certainly does not belong to the kind of models with ultra-high cost performance. However, due to the focus on the lightness, appearance and appearance, which are most easily perceived by users, as well as the intensive sales channels and sufficient stock, the previous generation of Reno5 series has still become an offline best seller. It is said that the inventory of Snapdragon 765G carried by the Reno5 is not enough.

In general, this generation of Reno6 Pro still continues to attach importance to lightweight feel and appearance. SoC configuration, battery capacity and linear motor have also been further enhanced, but there is still room for camera and screen materials to make up. From the perspective of purchase, individuals may recommend the more comprehensive Reno6 Pro+. After all, the difference of 500 yuan can bring about the Snapdragon 870 and the overall enhancement of the camera.
