On April 13, it was reported that today, the Xiaomi Redmi brand announced its official entry into the field of game phones. The first Redmi game phone will be released at the end of this month, and will also carry out strategic cooperation with Call of Duty mobile travel national service.

According to the official warm-up, this Redmi game phone will be equipped with MediaTek Tianji 1200 chip. Tianji 1200 was released in January this year, using TSMC's 6nm manufacturing process, integrating one 3.0GHz A78 core, three 2.6GHz A78 middle cores and four 2.0GHz A55 small cores. Its performance is 22% higher than that of Tianji 1000. The GPU is Mali-G77 MC9.

This should also be the first time that a game phone uses MediaTek SoC. Of course, the performance level of Tianji 1200 is basically close to that of Snapdragon 870, and with better heat dissipation specifications, it can also meet the hardware threshold of a game phone. However, it is clear that the first round Tianji 1200 mentioned by Redmi has been intercepted by realme GT Neo.

In addition, according to the known disclosure information, the Redmi game phone (model M2012K10C) may be equipped with a 144Hz refresh rate Samsung E4 AMOLED screen with a central punch design, built-in 5000mAh battery, or support 65W fast charging, and a game shoulder key on the side.
