On March 10, it was reported that the Mate 40E, a new machine, was launched in Huawei's official mall today, priced from 4599 yuan.

The Mate 40E has the same appearance as the standard version of Mate 40. The main difference is that the SoC has changed from the Kirin 9000E to the Kirin 990E, and the main camera has changed from 50 million pixels to a 64 million pixel sensor.

The front of Mate 40E is designed as a single hole curved screen, equipped with a 6.5 inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2376 × 1080 and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The whole machine weighs 188g and the thickness is 8.8mm.

The Kirin 990E on the Mate 40E has previously been used on the Mate 30E Pro. The 7nm EUV process integrates two 2.86GHz A76, two 2.36GHz A76, and four 1.95GHz A55. The 14 core Mali-G76 GPU is two fewer GPU cores than the Kirin 990 5G.

Mate 40E is equipped with 4200mAh battery, supports 40W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging, and has wireless reverse charging function.

In terms of cameras, the main camera is 64 million pixels, f/1.9 aperture, and another 16 million pixels ultra wide angle and 8 million pixels triple telephoto camera (supporting OIS).

The Mate 40E 8+128GB is priced at 4599 yuan, and the 8+256GB is priced at 5099 yuan, 400 yuan lower than the standard Mate 40. The new product will be launched on March 18.
