On March 2, it was reported that Guo Mingxuan, a well-known Apple industry chain analyst, published a forecast report on key specifications of iPhone product line from 2021 to 2023 yesterday.
The report has many attributes, including:
1. Apple will not launch a new iPhone SE in the first half of this year, but it is predicted that it will be released in the first half of 2022. The design is still the same as the current 4.7 inch SE, mainly upgrading the chip and 5G;
2. There will be four new iPhones released in the second half of this year, the size of which is the same as that of the iPhone 12 series. The bangs will shrink, the battery capacity and the body weight will increase, and Qualcomm's 5nm X60 5G baseband will be upgraded. Two Pro versions will use more power saving LTPO OLED screens and support a 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of cameras, the whole series will be equipped with sensor shift sensor displacement anti shake, and the Pro version ultra wide angle will be upgraded to 6PMirror group and support auto focus;
3. Among the iPhones released in the second half of 2022, at least the Pro version will change from the Liu Haiping to the perforated screen design. If the yield is good enough, the perforated screen design will be used throughout the system;
4. If the development is successful, the 2023 Pro iPhone will probably adopt the under screen fingerprint, periscope telephoto and true full screen design without holes;
5. The folding screen device has not been opened in Apple. If the related technology and mass production problems can be solved this year, Apple may launch a 7.5 to 8-inch folding screen iPhone in 2023;
6. Apple will not change the Lightning interface to USB-C on the iPhone for the time being. The solution for Apple to integrate Touch ID (i.e. side fingerprint) on the power key is not visible at present.
Although Guo Mingxuan's disclosure has a high accuracy, considering the long time span of the prediction attributes in this report, there are still many variables with the change of supply chain and product R&D progress, the reliability of the prediction attributes in this year and next is relatively high, and two years later, you can also look back to see how much the prediction has been fulfilled.
