On February 22, it was reported that although it will be officially released in China on March 10, DxOMark website has released ASUS ROG Phone 5 audio evaluation scores today.
The audio of this phone was rated 79 points in DxOMark (78 points for audio playback and 79 points for audio recording), surpassing 76 points and ranking first in the "music phone" Xiaomi 10 Pro, which dominated the list for a year. Although it is still uncertain whether the actual performance of ROG Phone 5 is as excellent as DxOMark's score in terms of external display, it is at least a good indication of strength to be on the top.
DxOMark disclosed in the evaluation article that the ROG Phone 5 adopts a bottom and top symmetrical dual speaker configuration, with at least four microphones built in, Dirac playback adjustment technology (including frequency response correction and virtual bass technology) added, and the machine retains a 3.5mm headphone port and built-in ESS DAC chip.
In addition, from the picture of the model released by DxOMark, the ROG Phone 5 continues to use the top and bottom symmetrical front panel design, but the screen proportion has improved compared with previous generations, and the back of the body also adds a dot matrix design similar to the ROG Magic Series notebook.
Based on the known information at present, the ROG Phone 5 will be equipped with a 6.78-inch, 1080P resolution ultra-high brush (rumored to be 144Hz) OLED screen, 10.29mm thick, equipped with Snapdragon 888 chip, built-in 6000mAh dual cell battery, and support 65W fast charging.
