It is reported that the front panel and back cover design of the vivo S9 is not different from the previous generation of S7. The front panel is still designed with a Liuhaiping screen, equipped with a 6.44 inch FHD+resolution AMOLED screen. The Liuhaiping is narrow in width, and the rear "cloud stage" three camera module is installed, but the middle frame is changed to a right angle structure.

As the latest model of vivo S series, S9 is expected to still use front facing selfie as the main selling point. It is not difficult to see from the "front facing 44 million" on the poster. The previous generation of vivo S7 adopted a dual camera scheme with front facing 44 million pixels and 8 million pixels of ultra wide angle. The front facing camera supports auto focusing and 4K video recording functions.

It was revealed that the highlight of vivo S9 is that it will launch a new 6nm chip for the first time in the world, which may be the Tianji 1100 recently released by MediaTek. Based on TSMC's 6nm manufacturing process, it will integrate four 2.6GHz A78 large cores and four 2.0GHz A55 small cores, and use Mali-G77 MC9 GPU (frequency 805MHz, lower than Tianji 1000+).

At present, vivo has not officially announced the release time of S9.
