The strongest super wide angle! Photo review: vivo X60 Pro+vs. Xiaomi 10 Ultra iPhone 12 Pro Max、X50 Pro+

Vivo released the vivo X60 Pro+on January 21, which is the first time that an ultra wide angle camera with anti shake (even a micro PTZ) appears on the flagship machine. The IMX598 with micro PTZ is the ecstasy generator for our super wide angle fans. While the aperture of the main camera S5KGN1 increased to F1.57, how different will it be from the previous generation? We invited Xiaomi 10 Ultra, iPhone 12 Pro Max and the previous generation vivo X50 Pro+to participate in the photo review.

It is a pity that the vivo X60 Pro+does not appear on the 2K screen, but its price is the same as that of the previous generation (but the gap between high and low configuration is too large). As the flagship of photography, its opponent is actually Xiaomi 10 Ultra, not the goalkeeper of Snapdragon 888.

For the convenience of reading, the conclusion is uniformly placed at the front of each part. The machine specifications are as follows:

2x telephoto

First look at the 2x telephoto that few people care about. The iPhone 12 Pro Max has the strongest specification, 2.5 times telephoto+OIS, with a small field of vision, but better discrimination. The two times telephoto of vivo X60 Pro+, vivo X50 Pro+and Xiaomi 10 Ultra has no optical anti shake. They are used to visualize the human image and fill the gap between the main camera and the five times telephoto. Vivo is 32MP (usually 4in1, when 8MP, 1.6 μ m), millet is 12MP, 1.4 μ m.

The two times longer focal length of vivo X50 Pro+and vivo X60 Pro+is just suitable for comparing the ISP effect of Snapdragon 888 and Snapdragon 865, which is really slightly stronger. The vivo X60 Pro+is more discriminative than the iPhone 12 Pro Max in the case of a wider field of vision and lower pixels, but the algorithm and hair color are more pleasing to the iPhone.

5x telephoto

The telescope scene is the home of Xiaomi 10 Ultra's 5 times IMX586 telephoto (the weaker the light, the greater the gap). The vivo X50 Pro+with the 13MP 1.0 μ m ultra long focal length has not lost much in the daytime scene, far away from the vivo X60 Pro+with the 8MP 1.0 μ m long focal length of only F3.4 aperture. The iPhone 12 Pro Max is self closing due to the problem of the focal section.

Super wide-angle

Super wide angle is the home of vivo X60 Pro+. Micro PTZ+IMX598 (48MP, 0.8 μ m), taking the number of pixels and optical anti shake of ultra wide-angle lens that are most needed, the specifications are unparalleled.

This is the only ultra wide angle with optical anti shake (even micro pan tilt), and the field of vision is very "normal" 14mm (114 degrees). Mate40 Pro is 17mm (slightly more than 100 degrees of view), and Mate40 Pro+'s 14mm freeform lens has only F2.4 aperture. The ultra wide angle of the IMPO/OnePlus IMX586 is 120 degrees (109 degrees after correction).

Followed by Xiaomi 10 Ultra's 20MP 1.0 μ m IMX350, which features the largest field of vision (13mm) in the flagship. Then, the next echelon is the vivo X50 Pro+ultra wide angle, very common 13MP, 1.12 μ m, 16mm equivalent focal length (after distortion correction, the field of view is the smallest among several sets). The iPhone 12 Pro Max is in the next gear, the ancestral 12MP, 1.0 μ m, 14mm ultra wide angle, large field of vision, but the sensor is too crotch.

Summary: There is no suspense about the comparison of ultra wide angle, just to see how strong the X60 Pro+is. The ultra wide-angle 12MP mode of vivo X60 Pro+is far superior to other machines in terms of tolerance and contrast (sharp). 48MP has a very obvious advantage in discrimination. Except for extremely weak light scenes, it can be kept open.

The vivo X60 Pro+and iPhone 12 Pro Max are both 14mm equivalent focal length (114 degree viewing angle), but in fact, the field of view of iPhone 12 Pro Max is slightly larger.

Xiaomi's 10 Ultra vision is really big; The 48MP mode of vivo X60 Pro+is really high in pixels.

Comet aberration is one of the most troublesome optical problems of Android large aperture and super bottom sensor. It will have a negative impact on the 10-20cm close shot. When shooting the plane, you will find a "bug" that "the center and edge are clear, but the middle is too blurred". The iPhone 12 Pro Max with a small aperture and a small sensor will not be bothered by this.

When shooting near objects, vivo X60 Pro+and Xiaomi 10 Ultra will automatically switch between ultra wide angle macro (automatic cutting and amplification), but the ultra wide angle quality of vivo X60 Pro+is closer to the main camera, with more natural effects and more online picture quality.

Samsung GN1 is a 50MP sensor with dual core focus, so it can operate in 100 million pixel mode. However, the actual effect is small, and the file size is nearly doubled (17MB vs. 26MB).

The main focal length of vivo X60 Pro+has slightly increased from 24mm of vivo X50 Pro+(also 24mm for Xiaomi 10 Ultra) to 23mm. If the conditions are the same, the discrimination will suffer. In the high pixel mode, the performance is similar to that of the 48MP Xiaomi 10 Ultra.

In the non dark extremely weak light scene, the automatic mode and night view mode of vivo X60 Pro+are almost indistinguishable (mainly due to the stronger noise smearing and slightly higher light metering). In many cases, the shutter time of the night view mode is shorter than that of the automatic mode. Vivo seems to be extremely confident about the large aperture of F1.57, which is a hindrance to the late night view improvement of the vivo X60 Pro+?

summary

  • iPhone 12 Pro Max: Familiar taste. The long focus weak light is very weak, and the film rate of the light scene is low. The field of vision is large, but the picture quality makes you dream back to 2013's super wide angle. The main camera became stronger after several OTAs? Or does the peer OTA become weaker? But from the difference between X60 Pro+and vivo X50 Pro+, it should be the former. But the assistant camera group was too weak: "Stop it, Azu, it's all Jackie Chan outside";

  • vivo X50 Pro+: "One main camera plays the whole court" type, 5 times of telephoto and 2 times of telephoto are OK, and the ultra wide angle is weak (the perspective and discrimination are tight, and can only slightly beat the iPhone 12 Pro Max). The main photography rate is high, HDR is not very active in the daytime, and high EQ evaluation: the performance is commendable;

  • Xiaomi 10 Ultra: high tolerance, fearless of darkness, telephoto of the most powerful domestic telescope, and super wide-angle field of vision. Ignoring the monster in the dark, after upgrading the 12.5 development version, the HDR adjustment is a bit confusing, and the white balance seems not as stable as before. However, even though the OTA of the developed system is negatively optimized, it is still strong;

vivo X60 Pro+: True · double main camera, top main camera+strongest super wide angle. "In terms of super wide angle, no one I know is stronger than you. My class would like to call you the strongest!"

  • The super wide-angle vision is large and HDR is active, with good discrimination and tolerance. During close range shooting, it will automatically take over the main shooting, with natural switching effect and small drop. The 48MP mode has both a wide field of vision and discrimination, and can even win the ordinary main camera (but not the Mate40 of "long focus ultra wide angle"). The ultra weak light performance is also far stronger than the conventional value. Because of the micro head, it is also very comfortable as a macro head (but the focal length is too short, even if the 48MP mode can not shoot pixels);

  • If you insist on the bar, the noise of 48MP mode is moving. With the macro distance function, the focusing travel is too long, giving people the feeling of pulling the bellows. The shutter is too conservative and has the potential of squeezing;

  • Compared with the vivo X50 Pro+, the maximum improvement of the main camera is not from the large aperture of F1.59, but more active multi frame synthesis (the strategy is similar to that of iPhone, which gives priority to improving the night scene shutter speed to ensure the film rate, resulting in the specification improvement not reflected in the image, but in the experience). At this stage, the shutter is also too conservative, and there is still room for improvement;

  • ZEISS believes that the lens has improved to a certain extent, but the glare and ghost control of the vivo X50 Pro+is good enough (much better than the iPhone 12 Pro Max). Good white balance and metering performance. As a choice, the super telephoto is much weakened, but I agree with you (the camera matrix is really big enough to fit the previous generation's periscope telephoto).

If this is the best photo flagship at this time, I will vote for vivo X60 Pro+.

If it's too long, the official class representative:

  • 2x telephoto: iPhone 12 Pro Max ≈ vivo X60 Pro+≥ vivo X50 Pro+≥ Xiaomi 10 Ultra

  • 5x telephoto: Xiaomi 10 Ultra>>vivo X50 Pro+>vivo X60 Pro+>iPhone 12 Pro Max

  • Ultra wide angle: vivo X60 Pro+>>>Xiaomi 10 Ultra>vivo X50 Pro+>iPhone 12 Pro Max

  • Main photographer: vivo X60 Pro+≈ Xiaomi 10 Ultra ≥ iPhone 12 Pro Max ≈ vivo X50 Pro+
