On January 5, it was reported that a LG "new mobile phone" LM-G900FMW appeared on the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The latter should be LG VELVET, which has been released since May 2020. It has launched three SoC versions of Snapdragon 765G, Snapdragon 845 and MediaTek Tianji 1000C in different regions. It is still unknown what version the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has received.

LG VELVET is a mid tier model, which was first released on May 7, 2020, and is characterized by colorful light and thin body and sexy accessories. A variety of colors are available, such as Mirage Sunset/Aurora White/Aurora Grey/Aurora Green/Aurora Silver/New Black. The fuselage is 167 2 × 74.1 X7.9mm and weighs 180g.
In terms of configuration, LG VELVET is equipped with 6.8 inch 20.5:9 P-OLED screen, double curved water drop screen, 2460x1080395ppi. 6GB memory+128GB storage, supporting TF card expansion. Although SoC and camera specifications are general, LG VELVET has complete peripheral configurations: 4300mAh battery, 25W QC4+fast charge, 9W wireless charge, dual speakers, advanced 3.5mm headphone interface, IP68 protection and stylus. LG even introduced its ancestral dual screen accessory, which weighs 129g and is equipped with a screen of the same specification (even the opening of the water drop screen is reserved).
LG VELVET's most legendary SoC version:
Released in South Korea and Europe in May and June, respectively, when Snapdragon 765G was used;
At the end of September, the SoC was replaced by MediaTek's Tianji 1000C (4* [email protected] +4* [email protected] ， Mali-G57 MC5, CPU absolute performance can not even beat Tianji 820), 588 dollars, about 3800 yuan;
When it was released in the Indian market at the end of October, LG VELVET became a 4G version, and the SoC was replaced by Snapdragon 845 (the flagship SoC in 2018), so the fast charging support was reduced to QC3.0, 15W. The Indian version is 36990 Indian rupees, about 3270 yuan.
Does this mean that the once familiar LG mobile phone will come back? The answer is not necessarily. Looking back at the records of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, we find that the registered company "Qingdao Lejin Inspur Digital Communication Co., Ltd." actually has three certificates issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
The first one was approved on February 14, 2020. This LM-G850FMW device, LG G8X ThinQ (Snapdragon 855), has not yet been sold in China. This LM-G900FMW is just an early renewal of the certificate, which has been issued since July 29, 2020. Look forward to LG's early return.
