Overall situation from January to October:
The added value of electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size increased by 6.9% year on year, and the growth rate dropped by 1.9 percentage points year on year;
In October, the added value of electronic information manufacturing above designated size increased by 5.0% year on year, and the growth rate dropped by 3.2 percentage points year on year;
The electronic information manufacturing industry achieved a year-on-year growth of 7.2% in operating revenue and 12.6% in total profits (6.0% year-on-year);
From January to October, producer ex factory prices of electronic information manufacturing industry fell 1.4% year on year.
Specific to our concerns:
In October, the communication equipment industry showed a negative growth of 5.3%, with a year-on-year decline of 10.7% in mobile phone production and 5.4% in smart phones. However, the revenue of the communication equipment manufacturing industry increased by 4.2% year on year, and the profit increased by 0.6% year on year.
On the computer side, the output of microcomputers increased by 28% year on year, the output of laptops by 50.2% year on year, the revenue of computer manufacturing industry by 8.5% year on year, and the profit by 2.7% year on year. The situation is better than that of the mobile phone industry, but the growth rate has begun to slow down.
