Snapdragon 888 uses Samsung's 5nm process, which is the second SoC to be announced to use Samsung's 5nm process after Exynos 1080.

In terms of CPU, the core code is Kryo 680, with a total of 8 cores. The super core is ARM Cortex-X1 architecture, with a frequency of 2.84GHz, and is equipped with 1MB secondary cache. Its performance is 20% higher than that of A78. It is also the first mass production processor equipped with X1; In addition, there are three 2.4GHz A78 cores and four 1.8GHz A55 cores. The CPU shares 4MB three-level cache and 3MB system cache; The official said that the overall performance of the CPU was 25% higher than that of the previous generation, and the energy efficiency was also 25% higher.

The GPU is the latest Adreno 660. Officially, the graphics rendering performance is improved by 35%, the energy efficiency is improved by 20%, and it supports VRS variable coloring rate. This technology can bring 30% improvement in game performance, and the game touch response is also said to be improved by 20%; In terms of screen, it supports up to QHD+144Hz or 4K 60Hz.

The ISP is upgraded to Spectra 580, which can process 2.7 billion pixel information per second, and the processing capacity is increased by 35%.
