Many pollens have been waiting for the mobile version of Hongmeng system for a long time, and finally the mobile developer beta version will be released. On December 14, it was reported that Wang Chenglu, President of Huawei's Consumer Business Software Department, officially announced the release of the beta version of Hongmeng OS 2.0 mobile phone developer on Weibo. The new system will be officially released in Beijing on December 16.
In fact, as early as November 24, at the media communication meeting of Huawei EMUI 11, Mao Yumin, Vice President of Huawei Software Department, predicted that the beta version of Hongmeng mobile phone developer would be released on December 16, and the first models to be carried were Huawei Mate40 series just released. However, Huawei denied the news the same day. Looking back now, it may mean that we leaked out in advance.
The launch of the beta version of Hongmeng OS 2.0 mobile phone developers was held from 10:00 to 17:00. The process included: new system release, application partners sharing the innovation case of HarmonyOS full scene, Huawei experts explaining the key features and development tools of HarmonyOS 2.0 mobile phone beta, face-to-face interaction with developers KOL and Huawei technical experts, etc.
The release on December 16 is in line with the previous official progress expectations. At that time, it was planned to release it to large screens, watches and car phones from September 10. In December, it would provide developers with a beta version. Next year, Huawei mobile phones would support Hongmeng OS 2.0.
The press release of Huawei's previous communication meeting said, "EMUI is the system UI design, while Android and Hongmeng are the operating systems. Huawei plans to gradually replace the Android system with Hongmeng ". Because Hongmeng OS 2.0 is the bottom layer of the system, it is expected that Huawei Mate40 series will not change greatly in the system UI even if it is upgraded to Hongmeng mobile phone developer beta. The situation may be similar to that of MIUI and ColorOS upgrading Android kernel, and the appearance of the system will generally remain unchanged.
Wang Chenglu, President of Huawei's Consumer Business Software Department, said that users upgrading EMUI 11 would give priority to upgrading Hongmeng OS 2.0. As for the order of adaptation models, the first batch is Kirin 9000 (Huawei Mate 40 series to be released soon), the second batch is Kirin 990 5G (Mate30 and P40 series), some Kirin 990 4G models, Kirin 985 and some Kirin 820 models are in the third batch, and the fourth batch is Kirin 820, Kirin 980 (Mate 20 And P30 series), Kirin 810 and some Kirin 710 products are the last batch.
