Huawei Mate 40 Series Run Score Exposure: GPU performance improved significantly

On October 13, it was reported that today, Anthare's official microblog announced that a new Huawei machine with the model of "NOH-NX9" had been found in the background. It was speculated that it might be the Mate 40 Pro to be released next.

The new machine scored 693605 points in the rabbit test, including 189670 CPU points, 287962 GPU points, 126589 MEM points and 89384 UX points.

In horizontal comparison, the total score, CPU and GPU are all higher than that of Kirin 990 5G and the previous generation competing Snapdragon 865. Among them, the GPU score has increased by 70.7% (after all, from G76 to G78), and the overall performance is comparable to that of Samsung's upcoming Exynos 1080 (total score 693600).

From the parameters given by Anthare, the SoC (also known as Kirin 9000) on this new machine integrates four A77 cores and four A55 cores. The maximum CPU frequency is 3.13GHz. The GPU uses ARM's latest Mali-G78, presumably equipped with LPDDR5 memory, UFS 3.1 flash memory and 90Hz screen. In addition, the screen resolution is 2772 × 1334, very close to the 2K (1440P) level.

Coincidentally, the same model named "NOH-NX9" also appeared in GeekBench's Running points library Among them, in GeekBench 5.2.0, the score of single core 1020 and multi-core 3710 was higher than that of the previous generation Kirin 990 5G single core by 26% and multi-core by 27%. The multi-core score has exceeded that of Apple A13 (single core is still unmatched).

Do you think the performance of Mate 40 series and Kirin 9000 meets your expectations?
