According to Huawei, Hongmeng OS 2.0 is a distributed operating system with "full scene intelligence", which has three characteristics: distributed soft bus, distributed data management and distributed security.
The supported devices have expanded from the original smart screen to watches, car phones, mobile phones, home appliances and other categories, and are capable of cross device collaboration, large and small screen interaction, high-speed distribution network, adaptive UX and other capabilities.
Huawei announced that Hongmeng OS 2.0 will provide developers with a beta version in December this year, and Huawei mobile phones will support Hongmeng OS 2.0 next year; From September 10, Hongmeng OS will open source to 128KB-128MB memory terminals such as large screens, watches, car machines, etc. Next April, Hongmeng OS will open source to 128MB-4GB memory terminals, and next October, Hongmeng OS will open source to more than 4GB memory devices.
Huawei also announced its cooperation with Midea, Jiuyang, Boss and other home appliance manufacturers. In the future, they will also launch home appliance products equipped with Hongmeng OS 2.0.
