On August 26, it was reported that Sony recently launched its new mid tier Xperia 8 Lite for the Japanese market.

The machine continues the Sony family style "hairtail screen" design since Xperia 1, adopts the asymmetric design of wide forehead and narrow chin, and is equipped with a 6-inch, FHD+resolution, 21:9 scale LCD screen, which is equipped with a power key and fingerprint identification two in one solution. The machine body is available in black and white, and the whole machine weighs 170g.

The configuration of Xperia 8 Lite is quite outdated now. SoC adopts the Snapdragon 630 (14nm, 8-core 2.2GHz A53) launched in 2017, and the 4+64GB storage configuration. Due to the small size of the body, the battery has only 2870mAh, which supports IP68 level dustproof and waterproof, and also retains a 3.5mm headphone interface.

In terms of camera, Xperia 8 Lite rear dual camera: including 12 million pixels, f/1.8 aperture main camera, 8 million pixel 2x optical zoom lens, and 8 million pixel front self camera lens.

Xperia 8 Lite sells for 29800 yen (about 1933 yuan) in Japan and will be on sale in September. Compared with the excessively competitive domestic mobile phone market, it seems that it has become the norm for old and large manufacturers to launch various medium and low-end models with impressive configurations and prices.
