On August 28, it was reported that LetsGoDigital, a Dutch technology blog and rendering monster, had made a series of rendering images according to OPPO's new flexible screen patent. The appearance patent of OPPO was submitted to the State Intellectual Property Office of China, CNIPA, on February 27 this year, with 28 product sketches and simple descriptions, and was officially approved and published on August 28.

The goal of folding screen is to give consideration to both portability and large screen. However, the fragile flexible screen needs to be taken care of carefully, so forms such as inner folding screen, flip cover and scroll are derived.

The OPPO patent is an enhanced flip folding screen, which avoids the disadvantage that Samsung Galaxy Z Filp series cannot operate without opening the cover (so Samsung added a small auxiliary screen). It uses the reel storage design similar to the LG reel screen concept, and some screens are usually tucked into the main body, which can be "stretched" into the whole. After straightening, an additional 80% of the display area can be obtained at most.

In order to ensure the rigidity of the fuselage, the rear cover is a three-stage mechanical structure similar to the "bone shrinking cover" folding umbrella. After the upper part of the fuselage protrudes, the hidden sim card slot can be seen on the right side. In order to prevent the screen from being pulled out by mistake in the pocket or bag, a locking button (similar to the locking mechanism of the camera lens) is also designed at the bottom of the body.
