The flash SHARGE S100 claims to be the smallest 100W four port charger on the market. It was released on July 18 with 3C1A, namely three Type-C ports, one USB-A port, and dual GaN chips. The price is 289 yuan, and the initial price of the first five days is 239 yuan. For the first users, it is one of the four most cost-effective GaN products with 100 watts.
The popularity of PD/PPS fast charging makes the multi port fast charging head more and more practical. One charging head can solve all kinds of digital products such as mobile phones, tablets, laptops, headsets, bracelets, etc., which can greatly simplify the wiring of the desktop, and can also easily save a row of plugs. What can we actually do with a four port quick charger?
Appearance and accessories
Flash SHARGE is a company established at the beginning of 2020. It has just received Li Nan's investment. There are only four products for the time being: 100W data cable, 65W, 90W and 100W GaN multi port fast charging head. From left to right, the above figure shows 100W data cable, 90W three port quick charger and 100W four port quick charger for this experience.

It has an E-Marker chip, supports USB 3.1 Gen2, and can be charged by 5A PPS 100W. The single price is 39.9 yuan, and the charging head will be reduced by 10 yuan. The price is more conscientious than that of most third-party double head C-port lines.

The travel version comes with three adapters, which can be directly inserted into the interface for use. From the left to the right in the figure above are the British gauge (the one with three strong heads), the European gauge (two rounded corners) and the Australian gauge (only two beveled corners). The above figure shows the official disassembly at the press conference. The fast charging head uses double gallium nitride GaN with active PFC (stabilizing current and reducing ripple). It can also be found from the layout that the 100W Type-C1/C2 on a single port obviously uses more materials, while the 30W Type-C3 and USB-A are the same. Size and weight
3D 73 * 73 * 28mm, which is small among the four products, is similar to Apple's 61W PD head, and is a circle larger than our 65W three port GaN product, but slightly thinner. Because of the vertical layout, the S100 will inevitably occupy a large space in the opposite socket on the common double row plug. However, it has four outputs. In most cases, there is no need to plug anything else into the array.

The sizes of 90W and 100W GaN tips of the flash electrode correspond to "common 60W tips with good volume control" and "60W tips with poor volume control" respectively.
However, the 228g weight is much lighter than that of the MacBook adapter which is close to the wattage, but it is also more than 512GB of the iPhone 11 Pro Max. With the width close to that of the super large cup phone, it is still suitable for staying in the company or home. If you are on a business trip or commuting, it is more comfortable to make do with 90W or 65W products.
Power and compatibility
The power output meter of the flash pole S100 is very complicated due to its many interfaces and fast charging specifications. The output specifications of the array and combination are roughly as shown in the figure above:
Type-C1/C2 port is 5A PPS 100W power, 65W+30W for both ports;
Type-C3 and USB-A ports are the same, and the maximum is 30W. Because the maximum power is 100W, and the C1/C2 ports are preferentially supplied, the output of the three ports will be 45W+30W+24W or 65W+15W (the last two ports add up to 15W);
The four ports are 45W+30W+15W (the last two ports add up to 15W).
The lack of human rights of population A also affects the Type-C3 population along with it, which is absolutely tragic.
In terms of protocol, three outputs (C3 and A ports actually share one) cover BC 1.2 APPLE 2.4A、 Samsung AFC (up to 24W), Huawei FCP/SCP (up to 25W), QC4+/QC 3.0/QC 2.0, PPS/PD (100W) and other public agreements. Without OPPO's VOOC authorization (Yijia and OPPO devices can only go through PD) and the private agreements of the mobile phone factories in the last two years, the agreements that the third-party charging heads can achieve are basically complete.
On the PD side, the first two Type-C ports have 5A PPS 100W capacity, while the Type-C3 port output along with port A is lower, with a maximum of 20V 1.5A. The 3-way fast charging circuit can support the specification of 20V, so in an emergency, it can supply power to three MacBook/PD charging laptops at the same time, but the power is stuck at 45W+30W+24W.
Charging the Xiaomi laptop Pro can reach about 65W.
When the 16 inch MacBook Pro is fully charged, opening more HD video pages will still reach more than 85W.
Practice has proved once again that charging a 16 inch MacBook with a 61W/65W charging head is a waste of battery life. If you operate a little harder, the computer will lose power and continue to consume battery cycles, which is quite embarrassing.
The figure above shows One Plus 8 and Redmi K30 Pro. For mobile phones, except Samsung and Huawei, which can use their own protocols, most of them run PDs.
How high it can actually run depends on the support of the model itself for the fast charging protocol. For example, Black Shark and Samsung, which support 5A PPS, it can reach 50W and 45W. Xiaomi 10 Pro and K30 Pro use C interface 10W, while USB-A interface is about 22W-24W, but iQOO models can only use 10W for each interface, and 5V 4A triggered by adding 8 is only about 16W. It's really unexpected that many Android phones are not as well treated as iPhones with PD charging.
For the iPhone and iPad, blind plugging can be achieved. The iPhone 11 Pro Max can have the highest power of 23W at either interface.
summary
For most users, three 65-90W products are enough. This type of product is "dessert grade" in size, weight and price. But after all, not everyone is an entry user. Players with many devices, or Apple family bucket users who need 100 watt PD charging, need 4 or more quick charging heads.
The typical scene of the flash S100 GaN 4-port quick charger is a laptop+mobile phone+tablet, plus a smart watch/bracelet/headset/standby machine, which can save three charging heads at a time, and make life more beautiful. Moreover, PD standard is the future. For many years, the specifications will not fall behind. Because the power of Apple devices is higher than that of many Android flagship devices during PD charging, the S100 is very suitable for Apple's whole family.
Its biggest disadvantage is that the power supply of C3 and A ports is only 30W, and the power supply of both ports is only 15W, which greatly weakens the practicability of the fourth port. Even if it is only connected to a headset charging box, the power of C3 port will be less than 15W.
In addition, the available power is only 100W, which is not enough for four ports. As long as any port is occupied, the maximum output of a single port is 65W. Although 65W can satisfy most laptops, the 16 inch MacBook Pro is not enough. Fortunately, except for laptops, other devices will not occupy the interface for a long time.
Although there is still a shortage of food, 3C1A and fast charging support protocols are complete, and one port can access 100W. These three points alone are worth 239 yuan of the initial price. As for power density, multi port switching, and surprisingly stable voltage output, these are good "gifts".
Many 90W three port products, even 65W three port products, are almost 200 yuan. For users with many devices, you can buy four hundred watt heads for 239 yuan, and save one quick charger to buy chili sauce. Isn't it delicious?
