DxOMark, a camera evaluation agency, recently released the camera evaluation report of Apple's second-generation iPhone SE. This mobile phone still equipped with 12 million pixel single camera in 2020 finally scored 101 points, which is the same as that of the iPhone XR, including 103 points for photography and 98 points for video shooting.

This score has been greatly widened by the mainstream flagship models on the DxOMark's list of more than 120 points. Although this 12 megapixel CMOS is equipped with optical anti shake, f/1.8 aperture, and Apple's powerful algorithm, it lacks ultra wide-angle The long focal length lens and the inability to join the night view mode function on the iPhone 11 series make the iPhone SE 2 suffer a lot in today's DxOMark's relatively comprehensive mobile image evaluation system.

For example, it is difficult to achieve good results in medium and long focus shooting, portrait/shot shooting only relies on algorithm matting processing is not enough, and the exposure and detail performance in low light scenes are not satisfactory; Fortunately, the good dynamic range brought by Apple's intelligent HDR in the daytime and the iPhone's consistently good video recording ability saved some points.

Of course, iPhone SE itself is the main flagship product of the same A13 chip, which is cost-effective. Users who have high demand for mobile photography may not list it as the first choice.
