Because of Huawei's ban, the 5nm capacity released by HiSilicon has been shared by Apple, Qualcomm, AMD and other major manufacturers. The third wave of orders from MediaTek is to queue up to enter the most advanced 5nm process of TSMC. It seems that MediaTek's next generation Tianji flagship chip will probably also use the 5nm process.

In the late 4G era, most of the high, middle and low-end mobile phone SoC chip market was once occupied by Qualcomm. Other market participants, such as HiSilicon Qilin, MediaTek, Samsung Exynos, either did not sell chips to the public or had insufficient product competitiveness. Manufacturers had limited choice of chip suppliers.

In today's 5G era, the situation has changed. MediaTek has launched the Tianji chip family with good overall indicators.
