Reno3 Pro was officially released in Hangzhou, which is the third generation of the Reno digital series. This year is the first year of the Reno series. The new series has iterated to the third generation within one year, which is really unexpected. Each generation of Reno has more or less highlights, and Reno3 is no exception. I have been playing with my mobile phone for two weeks. Now I would like to share my experience of using it.

Starting with the most attractive design, I will be shocked to get this phone for the first time because its thickness is only 7.7mm and its weight is only 171g. In recent years, mobile phones have been reversing in terms of thickness and weight, which is very similar to Samsung's flagship S10 series in the first half of the year, both in weight and thickness. One hand grip feels good.
Reno3 Pro also uses the front and rear hyperboloid glass, which brings a lighter feel, and the curvature is very close to S10 series.
A Samsung AMOLED hyperboloid screen is used on the front, and the front camera is placed in the upper left corner of the screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1080. Most importantly, it inherits the excellent quality of Reno ACE, and the screen refresh rate reaches 90Hz.
There is a thin earpiece slot on the top. The distance sensor is placed to the right of the top earpiece, and the official film also deliberately leaves a slot to make room for the sensor.
The screen fingerprint is placed at the top of the bottom, and it should be the lower screen fingerprint of the same model of Reno ACE. The location design of fingerprint is reasonable, and the daily unlocking of thumb is natural.
The back cover is made of frosted glass. The LOGO and camera module are placed on two corners, which makes the back cover extremely simple. The back cover has a total of four colors, two of which are not very obvious in terms of gradient effect, namely, moonlight black and fog moonlight white, and two of which are relatively obvious in terms of gradient effect, namely, blue star moon and sunrise image. This kind of combination has been used to this year. 4. The arrangement of the camera module is handled in harmony. 4 shots are arranged vertically. The flash is located on the right side of the third camera. In addition to the very simple body design and color matching, the rear cover of the Reno3 Pro is also somewhat beautiful.
The ID design of the Reno3 Pro is the most shocking part of the whole machine. The thin body gives me a very good grip. Nowadays, mobile phones are developing towards the idea of becoming thicker and heavier, and OPPO has come up with such a mobile phone, which gives a hard face to those manufacturers who can't make thin and light mobile phones.
The 90 Hz screen of Reno3 Pro keeps the ACE consistent and excellent display effect. After actual measurement, manual maximum brightness 479nit , excitation brightness 754nit The brightness performance is excellent, but there is still much room for improvement of the automatic brightness of the Reno3 Pro. The brightness sensor is placed below the screen, at the upper right corner of the screen. The brightness is often not triggered in a bright sun environment.
The system provides two color options: vivid and soft, and vivid mode is selected by default.
Use i1 Display Pro to test this screen. The data is as follows:
The color gamut coverage of the default vivid mode is good, and the color accuracy performance still has room for improvement. In soft mode, neither color gamut nor color accuracy can reach the expected level, only 88.8% sRGB color coverage, and the saturation of the image is very low. However, the author tested an engineering prototype, and the official version may be improved. But for now, the author will choose the default mode for use.
The battery capacity is 4025MAh. It is not surprising to use a large capacity battery, but there are not many mobile phones that can plug 4025MAh batteries into the 7.7mm body. Reno3 Pro is one of them.
after Love to play computer games In the two-hour endurance test, the endurance performance of the Reno3 Pro is about the same as that of the One Plus 7 Pro, and there is still a gap between the Reno3 Pro and the One Plus 7T, which has the same 90Hz refresh rate.
It's a pity that SuperVOOC flash charge is not equipped for charging, but 30W Of VOOC4.0 Flash charging is also good. VOOC4.0 flash charge is actually a combination of the above WART flash charge, and OPPO uses a later optimized version.
△ Reno3 Pro electricity percentage
Measured, 50% charge in 21 minutes, full charge only needs 57 Minutes, which is faster than the WART on one plus 7T series.
△ Rena3 Pro charging line power
From the data of ammeter, the peak power can reach 25W Above, and the peak charging power is maintained 14 minutes After that, the charging power did not drop significantly. It can be seen that OPPO's charging technology is quite satisfactory.
After testing, Reno3 Pro does not support 18W QC and PD fast charging, but supports 15W PD fast charging and handshaking 5V/3A Gear.
Reno3 Pro is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC, which is a SoC for 5G networks recently released by Qualcomm X52 Modem , support NSA/SA Dual mode 5G networking. 5G maximum download speed 3.7Gbps , the maximum upload speed can reach 1.6Gbps Of course, this is the upper limit that this processor can reach. It is certainly impossible to reach this rate in actual use.
CPU is 6 small cores based on A55 architecture, and the frequency is 1.8GHz ; two big cores based on A76 architecture, one of which 2.2GHz , another 2.4GHz 。
The GPU is Adreno 620, with the highest frequency 625MHz 。
The author is also interested in the actual performance of this chip. Now let's explore the performance of this chip through the run score software.
CPU
In terms of CPU performance, the single thread performance has surpassed the previous generation flagship Snapdragon 845, and there is still a gap in multithreading. After all, there are only two A76 architecture cores, while the 730G is superior in all aspects.
GPU
The GPU performance is also expected to exceed 730G, but it is still far from the level of the previous generation flagship Snapdragon 845. This is also Qualcomm's consistent strategy. It is possible for the mid tier SoC to surpass the graphics performance of the flagship SoC by at least two generations. That is to say, the graphics performance of today's Snapdragon 765G has reached the level of Snapdragon 835.
Flash Memory
The flash memory is not surprising. From the test results, it is dual channel UFS2.1 flash memory, and the reading and writing are also the average level of UFS2.1.
Due to time constraints, more information about the performance test of Snapdragon 765G will be tested later when the stable version of firmware is updated.
To sum up, after two weeks of use, the author is quite satisfied with this phone. The satisfaction is mainly reflected in the overall design of the phone and the screen. Such a light and thin body with a large 4025mAh battery, Snapdragon 765G, dual speakers, and a 90Hz high refresh rate screen are all added points to the experience.
This mobile phone also has slots. First, it uses a rotor motor, which greatly reverses the use experience compared with ACE; In terms of performance, the Snapdragon 765G has surpassed the Snapdragon 845 in terms of single thread processing capability, but there is still a lot of gap from the current flagship, and the old UFS2.1 is used for flash memory; The current strongest SuperVOOC 2.0 of OPPO is not used for charging, only VOOC 4.0. The last two points can not be mentioned, but it is a pity. This may have something to do with the positioning of the mobile phone. After all, if Reno3 Pro has both of the above two selling points, how can ACE sell?
