Next year, the first flagship mobile phone will be named Xperia 1.1, which will replace this year's Xperia 1. It is said that Xperia 1.1 has four cameras, equipped with Snapdragon 865 and 4K screens, and will debut at the World Mobile Communications Conference 2020 (MWC 2020).

Soon after the release of Xperia 1.1, Sony will launch Xperia 3. It is reported that the latter will be the successor of Xperia XZ2 Compact, equipped with Quad HD+screen and three rear cameras. However, due to the low demand for small screen phones in the global market, Sony Xperia 3 may only be released in Japan.

In the second half of 2020, Sony will begin to prepare two other flagship phones, of which the four camera Xperia 5.1 will replace this year's Xperia 5.

There is also a new super high-end flagship phone Xperia 0. It is reported that Sony is developing this phone with six rear cameras, which may be a 500000 pixel ToF sensor, a 20 million pixel, 48 million pixel, 16 million pixel, 8 million pixel and 12 million pixel camera heads, a 10 million pixel front camera and a 300000 pixel sensor.

Sony Xperia 0 is also equipped with Snapdragon 865, which may have a memory combination of at least 12GB+256GB, and Android 10 is pre installed.

Next year, Sony's mid-range phones will be Xperia 10.1 and Xperia 9.1, which will replace Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus. These two phones should also be released in MWC 2020. They may use Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 735. It is expected that Nokia 8.2 will also be equipped with this SoC. Snapdragon 735 has significantly improved performance compared with Snapdragon 630 and 636 adopted by Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus. Xperia 10.1 and Xperia 9.1 also support 5G networks.

Next year Sony will also launch Xperia 8.1 and Xperia 100, which should only be sold in Japan and support 5G networks. The low-end Xperia L4 will replace this year's Xperia L3. Xperia L4 is the only 4G smart phone released by Sony in 2020 and will be launched in multiple markets around the world.
