Jonathan Ive, chief design officer of Apple, has officially resigned

On November 29, it was reported that this summer, Jonathan Ive, Apple's chief design officer, announced that he would leave Apple to start his own company, but did not give a specific departure date. According to foreign media reports, there are signs that Jonathan Ive has officially left Apple, because there is no picture of Jonathan Ive on Apple's leadership website.

Just last month, Jonathan Ive's serious photo was still on this page. Instead of appointing a new chief design officer, Apple said that Evans Hankey, vice president of industrial design, and Alan Dye, vice president of human-computer interface design, would report to Jeff Williams, chief operating officer. Evans Hankey and Alan Dye were supposed to be co heads of Apple's design department, but they have not yet appeared on Apple's leadership page.

When announcing his departure from Apple, Jonathan Ive said that what he was most proud of at Apple was that they had created an unparalleled design team, process and culture.

Jonathan Ive and designer Marc Newson created a new company called LoveFrom, whose customers include Apple. Apple CEO Cook said that Jonathan Ive's new company will cooperate with Apple on "exclusive projects".
