The details of Google Pixel 4 XL are exposed, and biometrics only has facial unlocking

On September 24, it was reported that 9to5Google, a foreign media, recently exposed the details of Google Pixel 4 XL. This new machine is equipped with a 6.23-inch AMOLED display, and the screen refresh rate reaches 90Hz. Unfortunately, Google doesn't seem to equip the new machine with Snapdragon 855+. The memory is only 6GB, the body storage is 128GB, and the battery is 3700mAh.

Google Pixel 4 XL also supports motion perception, which allows users to cut songs, reject calls, cancel alarm clocks, etc. through gestures.

The only biometric function of this phone is face unlocking. It has no fingerprint sensor. Like Apple's Face ID, Google puts all biometric eggs in one basket. Unlike Face ID, if the Pixel 4 XL is placed on the table and the user looks down at the phone, face unlocking will not work properly. Users can set eye opening to unlock the Pixel 4 XL.

Although the Pixel 4 XL does not have the wide fringe of its predecessor, it is replaced by a large forehead, which contains motion sensors and sensors needed for facial recognition. The screen resolution is 1440 x 3040, and the aspect ratio is 19:9.

Many parameters of the smaller Pixel 4 are the same as those of the Pixel 4 XL. The former is equipped with a 5.7 inch AMOLED screen, a resolution of 1080 x 2280, an aspect ratio of 19:9, and a battery of 2800mAh.

Both phones are pre installed with Android 10. The Pixel 4 may sell for $799 (about 5686 yuan), while the Pixel 4 XL starts at $899 (about 6398 yuan).
