Source: Huawei's new machine is equipped with Hongmeng system, which is released in the fourth quarter

On August 5, it was reported by the Global Times that Huawei has been testing the Hongmeng operating system and will introduce the operating system at the Huawei developer conference in Dongguan on August 9. The report also pointed out that the first Huawei mobile phone using the Hongmeng operating system will be released in the fourth quarter, with a price of 2000 yuan. It should be noted that the first Huawei device using the Hongmeng system will release the Glory Smart Screen on August 10.

The Global Times quoted sources as saying that Huawei is currently testing the compatibility of Hongmeng and Android applications. The source, who did not want to be named, said that the encryption function provided by Hongmeng enabled users to better protect their personal data and privacy than Android.

It is reported that it will be easier to run AI on the Hongmeng system. The system can also be used on multiple platforms. Huawei will try to let as many developers as possible write applications for the new operating system.

It is worth mentioning that in the middle of July, Chen Lifang, a member of Huawei's board of directors and senior vice president, said that Hongmeng System never intended to replace Android. It was developed for industrial use and the Internet of Things. Perhaps in the field of smart phones, Huawei is only using Hongmeng as a backup for Android at present, but will it become a full member one day?
