On August 7, it was reported by foreign media that Samsung today released the Exynos 9825, a flagship SoC that was upgraded from the Exynos 9820 with an 8nm manufacturing process. The Exynos 9825 uses a 7nm EUV process and a faster Mali-G76 MP12 GPU.

It is reported that Exynos 9825 is the first platform in the world to use the 7nm EUV process, but it is not the first platform to use the 7nm process. Samsung said that the Exynos 9825 can bring better game experience and graphics performance under the condition of low power consumption, which means that the upgraded SoC is more about improving operating efficiency, and there is no significant improvement in performance score. The figure below shows the comparison of the parameters of the new and old SoCs. The CPU frequency of the Exynos 9825 is predicted by foreign media, and Samsung has not announced it.

It can be seen that the Exynos 9825 CPU cluster remains unchanged, including two M4 Cheetah cores, two Cortex-A75 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores. Samsung did not mention the specific frequency of the CPU, so the foreign media think that the main frequency of the CPU of the new SoC is the same as that of the Exynos 9820.

The LTE modem of Exynos 9825 is Shannon 5000, the download speed is up to Cat.20 (2Gbps), and the upload speed is up to Cat.13. Only when the Exynos 5100 is attached to the mobile phone, the mobile phone equipped with the Exynos 9825 can support 5G networks, and the Samsung Galaxy Note10+5G version should do so.

Samsung Galaxy Note10 series will be released in New York at 4:00 a.m. Beijing time on August 8. Exynos 9825 should be installed on some new models in some markets, and Snapdragon 855 will be used on others.
