At present, there are more than 1800 Apple authorized service providers in the United States, so our customers can more easily access high-quality maintenance services. Last year, we introduced a new feature. If we can't verify that a new and real battery was installed by a certified technician according to Apple's maintenance process, we will notify the customer. This information helps protect our customers from damage, poor quality, or used batteries that may cause safety or performance problems. This notice does not affect users' use of iPhones repaired by unauthorized service providers.

In other words, iPhone users can still use any battery, but they will always keep prompt information in settings, and lack information about battery health.

Why does an unauthorized service center install a real Apple battery on an iPhone, and users will also receive this message? The answer comes from a microcontroller, which can only be configured correctly by authorized technicians. If iOS does not detect the correct configuration, it will pop up the message, regardless of the actual part used by the user.
