Compared with the previous two generations of 2xx, the CPU performance of the new Qualcomm 215 has increased by 50%. More importantly, it is the first low-end smart phone SoC that supports 64 bit architecture, which will lead to improved performance and longer device life.

Qualcomm 215 has four ARM Cortex-A53 cores, with the highest frequency of 1.3GHz. The GPU (image processing unit) is Adreno 308, and there are dual ISPs supporting dual cameras. Qualcomm 215 supports up to 13 million pixels of single camera (dual camera 8 million pixels), full HD (1080P) video capture, HD+resolution (1560x720) screen, dual card dual standby, ultra HD voice call, and NFC on Android devices.

Qualcomm 215 also supports fast charging technology (Quick Charge 1.0), which is 75% faster than traditional charging technology.

Qualcomm said that the first commercial devices based on 215 will be launched in the second half of 2019, so we will soon see low-end mobile phones equipped with Qualcomm 215.
