On July 5, it was reported that the Samsung Galaxy Note10 would be equipped with a 3D ToF sensor, according to South Korean media reports. The company has installed ToF sensors on the Galaxy S10 5G and the Galaxy A80. The ToF sensors of the Galaxy A80 are in the flip camera. These sensors are used for out of focus imaging AR and face recognition.
It is reported that Korean lens manufacturer KOLEN will invest US $21.6 million to build a new factory in Vietnam to increase the lens production capacity from 13 million to 25 million. Foreign media said that the reason for choosing this location was that KOLEN cooperated with Samsung, and more than half of Samsung's mobile phones were produced in China.
The previously exposed rendering image also indicates that the 3D ToF sensor will become a part of the Galaxy Note10 camera, but it may only be carried by the Galaxy Note10+, because the rendering image on the back of the basic model only has three cameras and flash.
It is reported that the new machine will have two ToF sensors, one on the front and one on the back, like the Galaxy S10 5G. However, this is in conflict with the current rendering. The Samsung Galaxy Note10+screen in the rendering has only one small round hole instead of the long hole of the Galaxy S10 5G. It is possible that the front ToF module is only equipped for the 5G version of Galaxy Note10.
Samsung has previously announced that it will release the Galaxy Note10 series in New York at 4:00 a.m. Beijing time on August 8.
