The beta version of Android 10 is released with higher security and a large wave of new functions

Love to play computer games On March 14, it was reported that Google released the first beta version of Android Q, Android Q Beta 1, two days later than the outside world had predicted. Its final version number should be Android 10. The supported models are Google Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.

Some people are a little surprised that Android Q is also suitable for the original Pixel phone, because these two devices have been launched for more than two years, and Google has promised to support new functions for two years. Of course, this does not mean that Pixel and Pixel XL can obtain the official Android Q update.

Google also announced the push schedule of Android Q, which has six beta versions. Beta 5 and Beta 6 are expected release candidates, while Beta 1 to Beta 4 are only for testing. Google will launch Beta 2 in early April this year, Beta 3 in May, Beta 4 in June, and the fifth and sixth beta versions may be launched after July, and the official version will be released in the third quarter.

You can get Android Q Beta 1 through the Android beta software. You need to register an account in the software first to get OTA push. Of course, you can also choose line brush, and the developer preview version may only support line brush in the future.

The author does not recommend that ordinary people update Android Q Beta 1, because this version is mainly for Google to let software developers test their software on the new system. If you don't mind the system instability and bugs, you can try it.

Android Q has some new functions, such as the new location permission management. You have three choices. You can allow APP to access location information at any time, or access only when using APP, or prohibit access. This is similar to iOS, which should make user information more secure.

In the new system, you will be able to better control the APP's access to photos, videos and audio files. When the APP wants to enter the download folder, you must use the system's own file manager, which allows you to decide which files the APP can access.

Android Q will prevent APP from starting activities in the background to reduce the probability of APP accidentally jumping to the front end. If an app wants to attract your attention quickly, it can use high priority notifications instead of full screen display.

Android Q will restrict access to device IMEI, serial number and similar identifiers. Google will randomly assign device MAC addresses by default to connect to different Wi Fi, and this setting is optional in Android 9.

Google will also add software adaptation to folding phones in the new system. For example, if you are currently using an app and want to share content with others in other apps, it will be faster and easier to share shortcuts. You can directly jump to another app to share content.

In addition, the new system supports screenshots with rounded corners, bangs, and global dark mode. If you want to know more about the new features of Android Q, please pay attention to the experience report launched later by Io PC.
