Meizu 16th, Glory V20, Xiaomi 8, One Plus 6T image system duel
Meizu 16th, Glory V20, Xiaomi 8, One Plus 6T image system duel

The year of 2018 has passed, and the trend of new machines in 2019 is coming. Today, I want to summarize the comparison of the image systems of each domestic flagship in 2018. The models compared are Yijia 6T, Xiaomi 8 transparent exploration version, Glory V20 and Meizu 16th, which are more representative models in 2018.

Parameter introduction

Xiaomi 8 has a wide-angle equivalent focal length of 21mm, which is the widest of the four mobile phones, meaning that a wider picture can be taken at the same location. Only Meizu 16th and Xiaomi 8th sub cameras can be imaged separately. One plus 6T and Glory V20 sub cameras can only be used to assist imaging in virtual or other scenes, and cannot be used alone. Only Glory V20 of the four mobile phones does not have optical anti shake, but the Glory V20 main camera IMX586 can achieve four pixels in one output of 1200W photos to improve picture brightness.

Photo interface comparison

One plus 6T

The one plus 6T photo interface is relatively simple, and the commonly used modes can be easily switched. If you want to use professional mode or slow action, you can scroll up to call out the secondary menu, with more mode options. The professional mode of OnePlus is really professional. You can take and output RAW photos. There is a histogram on the top. The cross in the middle can be used to calibrate the horizontal or vertical, which is helpful for composition.

Millet 8

Xiaomi has more elements in its photo interface, including HDR button, AI camera and its own filter. Other photographing modes are all selected by sliding on the photographing button. There is no mode secondary menu. The problem is that if the photographing mode you want to switch is on the edge, you have to switch twice before you can select the desired photographing mode. This is not convenient.

Glory V20

Huawei's ancestral photo interface is similar to Xiaomi's key placement. It has an AI photo switch. More options can be opened in the secondary menu at the bottom. The button at the top left can identify objects with AI, and the button in the middle is a dynamic picture, similar to Apple's Live Photo.

Meizu 16th

Meizu's camera interface also follows a simple path, with fewer elements below. If you want to switch more modes, you should select them from the secondary menu. There are not many models, but they are quite practical. In professional mode, you can choose to output native 2000W pixel photos with sub photography.

One plus main camera uses a 1600W pixel sensor, and the other three are all 1200W pixels. Although the Glory sensor can output 4800W pixels, the default output is 1200W. Xiaomi, Meizu and Glory have AI scene recognition. Glory and OnePlus cut off the HDR button of the camera interface. Xiaomi, Meizu and Glory all have their own filters. Except Meizu, the other three manufacturers have their own night view models.

day

Day1

All four mobile phones showed good tolerance, and Meizu 16th won slightly. One plus 6T has the best anti glare ability. Glory V20 follows closely, Meizu 16th and Xiaomi 8 show obvious glare.

Daytime 1 (enlarged)

Zoom in to see the details. The 1200W pixel details of Glory V20 are more abundant than those of one plus 6T1600W pixels. Xiaomi8 is closely followed. Meizu's 16th resolution is the worst, and a slight purple edge appears at the edge of the building.

Daytime 2

Daytime 2 (enlarged)

This one plus 6T looks good at first sight, with accurate exposure and white balance, high tolerance and saturation. Zoom in to see the details. With the addition of 6T analytical power, Xiaosheng Glory V20 and Xiaomi 8, Meizu 16th seems to be smeared with oil. The picture is white, and the analytical power is not as good as that of the other three mobile phones.

Daytime 3

Daytime 3 (enlarged)

This green plant proof, except Meizu 16th highlight is a little overexposed and has high saturation, the performance of the four machines is basically at the same level, and the same is true when you zoom in.

Daytime 4

Daytime 4 (enlarged)

In this sample of backlight leaves, the four machines have almost no difference in appearance and color. If you zoom in to see the details, Meizu 16th and Xiaomi 8 details are better than Glory V20 and One Plus 6T, nothing else is different.

Daytime 5

Daytime 5 (enlarged)

The first impression is that Meizu 16th and Yijia 6T are the best, Meizu and Yijia stone bricks are very bright, and Xiaomi 8 looks more three-dimensional. Zoom in to see the details. Glory V20 has the highest analytical power, and Miba is in the middle. On the contrary, Meizu with high brightness and one plus analytical power are inferior to the first two.

Summarizing the performance of the four mobile phones in the daytime, there is no big gap, and the photos have reached a relatively high level. Meizu 16th has the best tolerance, but its stability is slightly poor; Glory V20 has the highest analytical power; One plus 6T and Xiaomi 8 do not have any special projects, nor do they have any weaknesses.

Zoom

Zoom 1

2x zoom contrast of four mobile phones. Meizu and Xiaomi have a long focus sub camera, but Xiaomi's sub focus section is only 26mm, which also belongs to the wide angle range. It is speculated that the zoom is a sub camera digital cutting picture; Meizu subphoto is 39mm 2000W, and 1200W photos are output; While Yijia and Glory do not have a telephoto sub camera, the zoom depends on cutting.

Zoom 1 (zoom in)

Zoom in and contrast, the glory resolution is the strongest, but the noise can't be stopped. One plus and Meizu smear too much, the details of the big tree are gone, and Xiaomi 8 performs best. Here I want to criticize Meizu. It is clearly 39mm 2000W pixels, and the photo output from the telephoto is still 1200W pixels, but its analytical power is not as good as Xiaomi's 26mm 1200W pixels. Meizu is still too young.

Zoom 2

Zoom 2 (zoom in)

Shadows appeared at the Meizu railings, and the glory resolution was high, but the picture appeared obvious noise. As for one plus, the sharpening trace was too obvious, and the resolution was obviously inferior to the other three models. Xiaomi is still the best model here.

To sum up the performance of the zoom link of four mobile phones, Xiaomi 8, with a telephoto sub camera, has achieved a balance in terms of analytical power and noise control, and has the best performance; Glory V20 adopts 4800W pixel clipping, so it does not lose the detail of Xiaomi 8, but the 4800W pixel unit pixel area is small, so the noise is serious; Meizu 16th is not as good as the first two even if it adopts 2000W secondary analytical power. It seems that the optimization is still not in place; One plus 6T has the worst performance in the zoom link. Because there is no telephoto and sub camera, the zoom can only rely on the 1600W pixel clipping and post sharpening of the main camera. So telephoto performance: Xiaomi 8>Glory V20>Meizu 16th>One Plus 6T

Nightscape

Night view 1

The night scene shows the advantages of Glory V20, which obviously shows more dark details. The brightness of the dark picture is one grade higher than the other three machines. However, if you don't count the hair, these four photos are enough, and the first impression difference is not big.

Night view 1 (enlarged)

Zoom in to see the details. Night Glory V20's analytical power continues the performance of the day. Its analytical power is strong, Meizu 16th and One Plus 6T are slightly weak, and Xiaomi 8 is at the bottom.

Nightscape 1 Super Nightscape Mode

At present, Xiaomi, Yijia and Glory all have their own night view mode. The current version of Meizu firmware has no night view mode. After opening the super night scene, Xiaomi and Yijia have greatly improved their dark details and highlight suppression, and the saturation of the picture is also higher; The white balance of Glory turns green after the super night scene is turned on, and the highlight suppression is slightly better than the original image.

Nightscape 1 Super Nightscape Mode (Enlarged)

Zoom in to see the details. The analytical power of Xiaomi 8 is lower than that of the original image; One plus 6T has some black edges on some lines, and the analytical power has also decreased; The resolution of Glory V20 changes little.

Night view 2

Glory V20 performs best, and the other three models more or less appear blue overflow.

Nightscape 2 Super Nightscape Mode

After the super night view was opened, the glory V20, which had performed well, began to lose its patience. The deer all around exuded immortality. Xiaomi and Yijia did not improve much.

Night view 3

Night view 3 (enlarged)

The highlight of glory is best suppressed, but it is too high. The light doesn't light up. Xiaomi 8 has the best comprehensive impression.

Nightscape 3 Super Nightscape Mode

Nightscape 3 Super Nightscape Mode (Enlarged)

Summarize the difference between night shot performance and each super night scene: Glory V20 is outstanding in both high light suppression and dark detail performance, which is the advantage of large sensor size. The super night scene of Glory V20 has to wait about 4s each time, which is obviously longer than Xiaomi and Yi. In addition, the super night scene can not be improved every time, and some scenes are not as good as the original image; Xiaomi 8 also shows no loss to Glory V20 at night. Its analytical power and highlight suppression are slightly weaker than Glory V20. The super night scene synthesis speed of Xiaomi 8 is much faster than Glory V20. The brightness of the dark part increases significantly, but details will be lost; Most of the situations of OnePlus 6T are satisfactory, not the best or the worst. OnePlus's night view mode still has a big disadvantage. Like Xiaomi, the brightness of the dark part has been improved, and the highlight has also been suppressed, but the edge of the object will appear "black lines", which is estimated to be excessive sharpening. Meizu's 16th night shot is not very different from the other three mobile phones. The only disadvantage is that there is no super night view mode, and more details are lost in the dark. We hope Meizu can update the super night view mode in the firmware in the future.

videotape

First, let's take a look at 4K video recording. Only Yijia supports 4k 60FPS video recording, and the other three only support 30FPS. Both 1080P Next Plus 6T and Glory V20 support 60FPS recording. In terms of video coding, any shooting mode does not support H.265 encoding format; Xiaomi 8 and Glory V20 can support H.265 encoding format in all modes; Meizu will automatically switch H.265 encoding in 4K 30FPS recording, and other shooting modes still use H.264. As for the difference between H.265 and H.264, H.265 coding has a higher compression rate than H.264 coding under the same picture quality. The 4K H.265 and H.264 videos are recorded with Glory V20 for 10 seconds, and the file capacities are 30.41MB and 41.57MB respectively. The difference is obvious, so supporting the new coding is always a good thing.

Let's see the comparison of 1080P video screenshots (Yijia Glory 60FPS, Xiaomi Meizu 30FPS)

Comparison of 1080P screenshots

1080P Screenshot Enlarged Comparison

Meizu 16th can only record 30FPS, and the color information is seriously lost, and the sharpness is not enough. Fortunately, the anti shake is good; Glory V20 supports 60FPS, but the exposure is too low and too much detail is lost; Xiaomi 8 can only record 30FPS, which is more accurate for green restoration; One plus 6T supports 60FPS recording, which is silky smooth and full of details. So there is no doubt that 1080P video recording will be a complete success.

4K video recording (one plus 60PFS, Xiaomi Glory 30FPS, the editor forgot to shoot Meizu, so Meizu was absent)

The exposure of Glory V20 is still low, and the appearance of Xiaomi 8 is similar to that of One Plus 6, but One Plus 6T supports 60FPS shooting, with the highest fluency.

To sum up the video recording performance of the four mobile phones, one plus 6T is undoubtedly the best among the four mobile phones. The performance under 4K and 1080P has reached a very high level, with 4K 60FPS shooting capability. The only disadvantage may be that it does not support H.265 encoding recording; Glory V20 is at the bottom, and both 4K and 1080P pictures are not exposed enough; Xiaomi 8 video shooting is also good, but because there is no 60FPS, it is still not practical; Meizu 16th performed mediocrely in 1080P, with serious color loss and white screen. Fortunately, the anti shake effect is good. The 4K editor forgot to shoot, so we can't draw a conclusion here for the time being.

summary

Meizu 16th: The photography performance is good, and the tolerance is high, but it lacks the current mainstream night scene mode. At night, it can't compare with other competitors in terms of dark details, and the stability needs to be strengthened. 1080P video is relatively ordinary, and does not support 60FPS recording. The color information is seriously lost, and the analytical power is insufficient. Meizu has a long way to go in video.

Glory V20: 1/2 inch is the largest sensor size among the four mobile phones. No obvious shortcomings can be found when taking photos in the daytime or at night. Although there is no telephoto and subphoto, good zoom effect can be achieved by relying on the 4800W pixel main camera clipping image. The video supports 60FPS, but no matter 1080P or 4K recording, the picture exposure is seriously insufficient. We hope to update ota repair as soon as possible.

Xiaomi 8: With the 2018 flagship sensor IMX363, the sensor's hard power will not be poor. The zoom performance is the best among the four mobile phones. The video does not support 60FPS recording, which is a pity. I hope Xiaomi will follow up as soon as possible, especially 1080P.

One plus 6T: The sensor specification is the weakest among the four mobile phones, but depending on the powerful algorithm of one plus, the photo performance of one plus 6T is not inferior to the previous ones, but the zoom effect is poor, and the night view mode also has relatively large defects. In terms of video, one plus 6T is undoubtedly the best among the four mobile phones. It can be ranked first only by supporting 4K 60FPS recording. The anti shake effect is also good, but it does not support H.265 encoding. The 4K video file is large.

This is the last evaluation before the New Year. Xiao Bian will also go home for the New Year. Here I wish everyone a happy New Year! See you again in the new year.
