Not long ago, according to Mysmartprice, a patent recently submitted by OPPO indicated that the company may be developing a new type of wireless flash charging technology, and plans to apply this technology to its flagship smartphone to be launched soon. Although the patent does not deeply study how the so-called wireless charging system will work, it shows that OPPO's wireless charging system will probably be faster than anything on the market at present, because the existing wireless charging standards, such as Qi 2.0, only have 10W of maximum wireless charging power.
Today, someone on the Internet exposed the test diagram of the suspected OPPO wireless fast charging prototype. From the exposed pictures, the prototype shows that its charging power has reached 14.734 watts, exceeding the current maximum 10W wireless charging power, becoming the fastest wireless charging technology in the industry.
It is also reported that OPPO does not specify the maximum wattage that can be reached in this mode, that is, this fast wireless charging mode or the maximum allowable wireless charging power exceeds 15W. If this is true, this wireless charging technology will be comparable to OPPO's existing VOOC flash charging technology, and the practicability of the wireless charging function will be greatly improved. OPPO claimed in its patent that more than 15W of wireless charging power could enable the company to gain more competitive advantages in the flagship market, so I guess OPPO may only apply this technology to several specific models of its own.
