MediaTek new product P80/90, OPPO or first launch

As a chip factory in Taiwan on the opposite island, MediaTek's latest flagship product is not strong, and it has been fiercely pursued by Qualcomm in the middle and low end products, so life is not easy. Fortunately, the new P series performs well, and P60 and P70 have become candidates for low-end products of many manufacturers.

Recently, some netizens announced that the new products P80 and P90 of MediaTek's P series will be launched, and OPPO will become the first manufacturer to use new products (this is the exclusive period of MediaTek?). In terms of architecture, the new P80/P90 will be upgraded from the current P60's A73+A53 to the A75/A76+A55 combination. However, the specific core arrangement is unknown for the time being, whether to use the original conventional combination of four cores+four small cores or the combination of two cores+six small cores like the Snapdragon 710 next door to Qualcomm.

In terms of image processing, P60 is Mali-G72 MP3, and the upgrade of P80/P90 is not clear. Do you want to directly use G72 to increase the number of cores or maintain the number of cores to upgrade to G76? This depends on how the United Development Division handles it.

In addition, it was revealed that MediaTek also needs to make a big breakthrough in the flagship X series, but considering the performance of MediaTek's X25 and X30 in the past two years, there is really no way to have high expectations for it. I hope that MediaTek can really give a hand this time and stop building up the old core routines.
