In June this year, vivo brought us vivo NEX, the zero boundary full screen flagship. In addition to the flagship version of vivo NEX with Snapdragon 845, it also released NEX, the standard version of the full screen small steel gun. The biggest difference between this machine and the flagship version is that it is equipped with Snapdragon 710 SoC, and the screen fingerprint is replaced by the back fingerprint identification.

In fact, both the flagship and standard versions of vivo NEX use curved 3D glass with the same process on the back, but the two different color matching glass texture processes of ruby red and diamond black are different. The triangle texture in the inner layer of diamond black 3D glass will show rainbow color under the condition of reflection. Black glass+refracted rainbow color form a "colorful black".
Unlike the black version of the Star Diamond, the inner layer of the ruby red glass does not have this triangle texture, and will not reflect the rainbow color. There is no "colorful red", but a more pure red.
The standard ruby red of vivo NEX is a totally different look from the colorful black of star diamonds in terms of color.
The curved 3D glass design on the back of vivo NEX and the structure of the metal middle frame are not very different from X21 series on the whole. The back design of the two is very similar.
If the multicolored black color is a low-key, yet wild and sultry color matching, then the ruby red can be said to be a more direct wild color, which is very dazzling and bright red.
The ruby red of NEX standard version does not adopt the design of gradient color. In the case of non special light environment, the red reflected by the curved 3D glass on its back will not change much, and will remain the same.
In terms of appearance, the biggest difference between the standard version and the flagship version of NEX is that it has a rear fingerprint identification module. In order to maintain the unity of hue, this fingerprint identification module also uses a red color similar to the 3D glass back cover, so there is no abrupt feeling in the appearance.
In terms of configuration, the standard version of vivo NEX uses Snapdragon 710 SoC, the screen is a 6.59 inch Liu Hai full screen (AMOLED) with 2136 x 1080 resolution, the rear is 12 million pixels (IMX363+four axis optical anti shake)+5 million, the HiFi chip is AK4376A, and the battery capacity is 4000mAh. The flagship version of vivo NEX has been upgraded to Snapdragon 845 SoC, with 8GB of memory starting, and HiFi has also been upgraded to CS43199 DAC+SSM6322 op amp, which is also equipped with screen fingerprint identification.
Since the vivo NEX series does not provide the 6GB+128GB flagship version, if the user feels that the performance is excessive and the screen fingerprint is not needed, then the standard version of NEX may become the target of consideration. However, considering that the price of NEX flagship 8+128GB is 4498 yuan, which is only 600 yuan more expensive than the standard version of vivo NEX, it has been upgraded to Snapdragon 845, and is also equipped with screen fingerprints, and the memory is also 2 GB more. Therefore, the author believes that if users are not very cash strapped, it would be better to add money to the flagship version of NEX.
