According to the previous 5G patent charging standard of Qualcomm, if you want to use a mobile phone that only supports 5G mobile phones with Qualcomm's standard essential patents, you will charge 2.275% of the patent fee based on the price of the whole machine; If you want to support 3G/4G/5G universal mobile phones, you will use Qualcomm's standard essential patents, and you will be charged 3.25% of the price of the whole machine; For mobile phones that only support 5G, the use of Qualcomm standard essential patents plus non-standard essential patents will charge 4% of the price of the whole machine for patent fees; For 3G/4G/5G universal mobile phones, if Qualcomm standard essential patents plus non-standard essential patents are used, 5% of the patent fee will be charged for the whole machine.

Ericsson's 5G patent fee standard is: for high-end handheld devices, Ericsson's 5G patent fee is $5 per unit; For low-end handheld devices, Ericsson's 5G patent royalties can be as low as US $2.5/unit.

Now the only one of the three companies that has not officially announced the charging standard is Huawei. A source said that if a manufacturer wants to use Huawei's 5G patent, it must pay 4% of the patent fee for each complete machine.

He Gang, the president of Huawei's terminal mobile phone product line, immediately denied it and said that Huawei's 5G charging standard had never been announced. Huawei also said that "any single obligee's 4% charge is too high and unreasonable."
